The first game was pretty straight forward, the player knows who the bad guy is. In the sequel, the player can be the neighbor or the children trying to save their friend in the basement. The twist is that all players can be the children-including the neighbor.
So when the children are running around and doing a task to save their friend, the neighbor can sneak up on them. So in other words the trust factor is very low, anyone can be the neighbor. Because the player who’s the neighbor can act as one of the children.
Because of that twist inSecret Neighbor, players are more on their feet which slows them down. They don’t know who to trust which can add to the tension. InDead By Daylightits different, players know who they’re trying to escape from.
So it makes the whole experience easier, but still looking over the player shoulder shouldn’t be stopped.Each of the content drops the developers do add characters and killers. So each new character adds to the dynamic with their traits, the game changes up in the sense as well.

The thing about not knowing who to trust or knowing who’s who makes the game more stressful. So when the neighbor is finally revealed it’s a rush for the players. Using the tactics the game gives the kids is only useful for so much until a player is caught.

The difference between the first one and the second game is that the neighbor isn’t AI, so the game can be hard depending on the neighbor. That can be the fun part as well, watching the kids lose themselves in pure fear.

While not as good asDead By Daylight, Friday the 13thhas its own charm. Running away from one of the most iconic killers Jason Voorhees and in on the most memorable setting in movie history,Camp Crystal Lake.Is something very games do.
Even though the game is compared a lot toDead By Daylightit’s still very scary. When the music gets going and the player starts to see Jason slowly approaching very slowly is an experience. Even dodging and getting away from him can get the heart going. But generally speaking, the game is best when everyone is on the same page.
6The Neighbors - Secret Neighbor
While the main neighbor is a given all the players know him, it’s the secret one that throws the game off. The players who are the children who are busy trying to free their friend have to worry about something else.
Someone working with them is actually not—theSecret Neighborwho is actually helping out the main one. So now the game is even harder because of that unknown enemy and not knowing who’s who.
5Able To Fight Back - Predator: Hunting Grounds
Most horror games have a sense of weakness, they’re underpowered and don’t have much to survive. However, inHunting Groundsits a different story. Each player who is a human is able to defend themselves from the player who is the Predator.
It makes things easier and harder at the same time because the Predator is also ready to go. With so many abilities like infrared sight, it gives the predator a clear advantage. But the humans are able to hold their own with the many perks they can.AlthoughHunting Groundshas mixed reactions, it still holds its own.
4Being The Neighbor - Secret Neighbor
When players are the kids in the game it’s different because everything is going against them. The neighbor is a much easier job, setting traps, and just protecting the house. Much of the pressure is already taken off when a player is the neighbor.

They can hide and wait for the other player to come to them or they can be extremely descriptive and play along till the time is right. As the Neighbor, understanding the layout of the house is easier because they don’t need to watch over their shoulders.
3More Things Going On - World War Z
A spiritual successor to theLeft 4 Deadseries,World War Zhas thousands on top of thousands of zombies on-screen at once. Gearing up with 3 other players getting ready to defend themselves is a rush. While there’s no neighbor pestering them, it’s the sheer numbers of zombies running towards the players.
It’s no wonder whyWorld War Zis one of the best co-op games of 2019. It’s the number of zombies running at the player that will scare some because it’s quite overwhelming. The craziness will make even the seasoned players sweat.
2Difficulty - Secret Neighbor
Since it’s an online game, the matches depend on how good the players are. If the neighbor is really good them the game can be quite fun for the player who are the children. Forcing to work together even knowing that the secret neighbor is ready to pick them off one by one.
So when players think they’re safe, they’re not really because the neighbor has set so many traps. And it helps to know the layout of the house as well. Even if players aren’t that good the game isn’t super challenging.
1Overall Fun - Left 4 Dead
The whole experience of this classic has still gone unmatched. Fighting through many different and iconic locations gives the player a sense of urgency especially when there’s a horde of zombies coming down.Being one of the best horror games of our time, it can back that claim up.
The different classes of zombies add an interesting take on the concept by making players think before they shoot. Zombies like the jockey which ride players can be hard to hit because they are so quick players would to wait. Then, if it’s riding another player it would be much easier to hit
