One of the co-directors ofAcross the Spider-Verse, Kemp Powers shared to Twitter some movement test footage for Prowler Miles that was made in 2020. Powers revealed that the character was originally called Wiles before they decided to call him Miles G. Morales. The score for the clip was “Revelations” by Mos Def. Powers also stated that this clip shows the character before the events of the film.

This comes after it was recently revealed in the officialSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verseart book that Miles G. was a vigilante. This can be seen in the test footage which shows Miles G. stealing medicine from some presumed bad guys to deliver to his mother’s hospital. All of this has shown that there is much more to “Evil” Miles than what people saw at the end of the film.

Many fans on Twitter replied that they hope to see this in the next movie despite the fact Powers said that it was just test footage to show the character’s movements and was never going to be in the movie. Hopefully, they still use similar movements for the character as shown in the test footage. The clip shows Miles G. using different gadgets to mimic Spider-Man’s abilities like webbing up bad guys in a net, swinging across the city on grappling hooks, and special boots to run across the side of buildings.

Fans love the way Miles G. moves in this clip and shows how he can still be Spider-Man even without the powers. Most fans can agree that the creators made the correct choice and didn’t stick with Wiles Morales. One fan even said it was like a Mario and Wario situation. Fans are very excited to see what happens to Miles and Miles G. in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
