OnePokemonfan artist with a soft spot for Vanillite has designed multiple new forms for the critter based on various flavors of ice cream. While Vanillite and its evolutionary forms Vanillish and Vanilluxe may not be the most popular choices for competitive battles, they represent a noticeable departure from the more traditional creature designs thatPokemonfans were accustomed to at the time.

First introduced to the world ofPokemonwith the Gen 5 titles, Vanillite and its evolutions have received a fair amount of praise and criticism alike from all corners of thePokemoncommunity. While they may not be to everyone’s taste, the Ice-type Pokemon has certainly grown to become one of the more memorable designs from the franchise. The Vanillite family hasn’t seen any new forms or variants since their reveal withthePokemon Black and Whitegamesdespite appearing in several titles since, leaving many fan artists with ample opportunity to let their minds run wild with conceptual redesigns and new forms for the ice cream-like Pokemon.

With the number ofartistic projects from thePokemoncommunityexploding after the release ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet, it’s clear that creative inspiration among fans isn’t running dry. One talentedPokemonfan artist known as MunchyKu has shared their own set of cute new forms for Vanillite, with each variant sporting a different color scheme and name based on their associated flavor. The designs feature chocolate, strawberry, banana, mint, and mango variants of the small ice cream Pokemon, and many fans have even suggested that these concepts could be taken even further by assigning them unique type combinations, such as Ice and Grass-type for the mint variant.

While the Gen 9 games may not have given much love to the Vanillish family in particular,Pokemon Scarlet and Violethave brought in a substantial number of new official forms and evolutions for existing fan-favorite Pokemon. Alongside new Paldean regional variants for certain species' of Pokemon, the Gen 9 titles have also further developed the idea of convergent Pokemon with creatures such as Wiglett. Perhaps most importantly,Pokemon Scarlet and Violethave also introducedthe mysterious Paradox Pokemon, which deepict well-known Pokemon from entirely different time periods.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’sThe Teal MaskDLC takes things further by introducing more new Pokemon, as well as newevolutions for Pokemon such as Sinisteaand Applin. While only time will tell what new Pokemon might be brought withScarlet and Violet’s second DLC pack, the 1,000+ Pokemon that now exist within the Pokemon world will undoubtedly continue to fuel fans' inspiration to create designs of their own.
