Amazon is offering the interactive horror dramaThe Quarryat a significant discount for a limited time during the run-up to Black Friday. There are still a few weeks until the Black Friday sale starts on Amazon and elsewhere. However, the e-commerce giant is giving hefty discounts on select games already before the event.The Quarryfor PS5 is available currently at $39.99, and other platform versions are discounted, too.
The Quarry is a survival horror game and an interactive drama in one package. Developed by Supermassive Games and published by 2K, it involves traditional horror game elements with the addition of character development, relationships, and other plot elements affected by user choice. The Quarry is a third-person game where the player assumes control over nine different teenagers that need to survive a night at a quarry. Throughout the game, players are forced to make choices regarding the characters and the surroundings. These choices determine whether the characters are going to survive or not. Also, the story of the game changes as the players choose between different actions during the up to ten-hour gameplay.The Quarryhas a total of 186 endingsand a Death Rewind mode that allows replaying situations.
In addition to the single-player campaign,The Quarrycan be played in both local co-opand online multiplayer. In the local mode, different players take turns controlling their characters, while in online multiplayer seven other players can vote on key choices during the storyline.
The game is heavily inspired by teen slasher movies and features a cast of Hollywood names, such as Ted Raimi, Ariel Winter, Brenda Song, and David Arquette. Leading up to the Black Friday sale, Amazon has a $50 discount on the Xbox Series X version, a $40 discount on the Xbox One, and a $30 discount on the PS4 and PS5 versions ofThe Quarry.
