YouTuber Hinotch uploaded a video to the website on April 14 showcasing a stunning adaptation ofPokemoninto the world ofAnimal Crossing. The video showcases the customization features of the newest entry into theAnimal Crossingseries with textured terrain, fenceposts, and even images of Pokemon. Viewers can watch the player character fishing with Gyarados, or walking by Pokeballs in the grass.

The video shows the player exploring theirPokemon-inspired town, and the similarities are striking. The designer clearly worked hard on capturing the experience of traveling through the world of Johto on a Game Boy, but on a Nintendo Switch in an entirely different game. Animal Crossing: New Horizonswas only just released in the US on March 20, but it’s already an incredibly popular game.
