Over the past couple of years,Apex Legendshas managed to remain very relevant in the battle royale genre. One reason for this continued success is the large pool of Legends gamers can choose from. For example, onepopular pick inApex Legendsis Wraithdue to her repertoire of abilities that can be used both defensively and offensively. However, gamers have sometimes encountered certain unintended bugs regarding this Legend’s specific kit.
Throughout several of the past seasons of the game, Wraith, also known as the Interdimensional Skirmisher, has seen a number of unintended bugs affect her gameplay. Specifically, players have encountered problems with Wraith’s portal inApex Legends. One previous glitch even caused her Ultimate to disappear around theHarvester location on World’s Edge. With this in mind, it should not surprise most Wraith mains to learn that another bug regarding her kit has been highlighted by the community. However, this most recent glitch possibly makes the Legend more effective in combat.

Recently, a YouTuber known as RossBobSquirrel revealed a bug that caused Wraith’s Ultimate, Dimensional Rift, to become a one-way teleporter inApex Legends. This meant that a player jumping into the portal would exit at the original point they entered, essentially making a round trip. This is obviously not how the developers intended the Ulitmate to work, as it is supposed to be a two-way teleporter. As a result, players could use this glitch to appear to run away from an enemy team by taking a portal, only to return to the previous spot, potentially catching their opponents off guard.
It is worth noting that this glitch highlighted by RossBobSquirrel requires that the Wraith player jump off a zipline and complete a portal while holding the interact button/key. While ziplines are found throughout the battle royale’s various maps, andPathfinder can produce ziplinesfor his team, it makes the Wraith exploit somewhat situational. Nevertheless, given the right situation, it seems to have the potential to be quite effective.
Unsurprisingly, a number of members of theApex Legendscommunitytook notice of this glitch shared by RossBobSquirrel. In the comments section on YouTube, players discussed the effectiveness of this exploit in battle. While many gamers were excited to check out this glitch in-game, some were concerned that it was OP. For example, EpicLizard4013 hoped that Respawn Entertainment could patch out the exploit as they believed it made Wraith’s portal “brutal if used properly.”
It will be interesting to see if Respawn Entertainment chooses to address this glitch in the future. Interestingly, RossBobSquirrel noted that the bug has been present since Season 8, meaning it could continue to persist. However, if more people begin to exploit it, that could change.
Apex Legendsis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A mobile version is available in some regions.
