Apex Legendsseason 12 is right around the corner, and it’s already proving to be an interesting season with a plethora of changes. From theintroduction of Mad Maggieto the map changes on Olympus, from the changes to the loot pool and to the legends, and new LTMs like Control and events, Respawn has already shown off a lot.
Perhaps the most interesting part is what Respawn Entertainment may not be showing, and that’ll make the Apex Games even more exciting. It remains to be seen what players find inApex Legendsseason 12: Defiance, but the wait for its launch is shortening quickly.

Thanks to the Battle Pass, fans have known for a while thatApex Legendsseason 12 would launch on February 8. The new one will even show them when season 12 ends and season 13 begins, but that’s getting away ahead of ourselves. The current question, however, is what time willApex Legendsseason 12’s Defiance updaterelease.
What Times Does Apex Legends Season 12 Release?
Apex Legends season 12/Defiance update is expected to release on February 8 at 10 am PT, 11 am MT, 12 pm CT, and 1 pm ET.
By and large, Respawn is rather trustworthy when it comes to the launch of each new season. That’s not to say there haven’t been some delays before for holidays or specific platform issues, but unless something does come up,Apex Legendsplayers can reliably expect it to release at the time mentioned above.
Once players finish downloading the update, there will be a plethora of content to check out. New legends are always popular in the first few weeks, so players will likely be checking out Mad Maggie for a bit. She’ll settle into her role in theApex Legendsmetaeventually, and it’ll be interesting to see if she is as OP as Seer was at first or if her “jack of all trades, master of none” abilities keep her in a tighter position. Nonetheless, they’ll be able to take her into Firing Range if they want, into public or ranked Battle Royale for a real test drive, into Arenas or into Control.
Beyond that, the biggest character changes players will likely be checking out is for Crypto and Caustic. The latter gets tweaked by Respawn quite often, and the company isnerfing his gas tanks inApex Legendsseason 12. They can now be destroyed after being activated, and this in particular will make hiding behind them as Caustic much more difficult. Meanwhile, Crypto is getting a buff in the form of a secondary mode for his drone, but if that’s enough to bring him up from the bottom of the tier list remains to be seen.
Apex Legendsis available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
