Ubisoft confirmed to PC Gamer that is removedAssassin’s Creed 4: Black Flagfrom purchase on Steam due to a “technical issue.” Some fans incorrectly believed that the game was removed from Steam becauseUbisoft was planning on replacing it with a remaster, so this revelation will no doubt be disappointing for anyone that got their hopes up about that possibility. Ubisoft didn’t provide a specific date for whenAssassin’s Creed 4: Black Flagwill be added back to the Steam storefront, but it did say that it is hoping to resolve the issue “as soon as possible.”
WhileAssassin’s Creed 4: Black Flagbeing removed from sale on Steam is not an indication that a remaster of the game is in development, there have been some reports indicating that something like that could very well be in the works. Fans can also pick up aNintendo Switch version ofAssassin’s Creed 4if they want to take their pirate adventures on the go, and the game was even available for Stadia when that service was still live.
