While one could argue thatAssassin’s Creed Odysseyis a divisive title in the franchise, one character who remains super popular is thecanon protagonist Kassandra, played by Melissanthi Mahut. She’s known for a number of TV roles, but among theAssassin’s Creedcommunity, she is immediately associated with Kassandra. It’s worth noting that she played Kassandra inAssassin’s Creed OdysseyandValhalla, but for Ubisoft, she also played various characters inAC Originsand Athena inImmortals Fenyx Rising.
She engages with theAssassin’s Creedcommunity quite a bit, and recently, she pointed out something about Lady Hellbender that echoed many fans' original thoughts at the release. Indeed, she acknowledges she’s late to the party, but if anACfan didn’t play Eidos Montreal’sGuardians of the Galaxy, they may have learned about it from her tweet.

Short and sweet, she points out thatLady Hellbenderlooks JUST like Kassandra. The community was glad to see she made the connection too and went on to discuss how many in theACcommunity called Lady Hellbender “blue Kassandra” at launch. It’s a bit eerie, but genuinely, the only real difference is the exact shade of the hair and the obviously blue skin. Dye Lady Hellbender’s hair, and fans would have Kassandra in space.
Oddly though, this isn’t the first time an NPC has looked like Kassandra. WhenAssassin’s Creed Valhallafirst came out, many were quick to note how Randvi looks like Kassandra, and at one point there were some theories they were one and the same. As many know, Kassandra manages to live for thousands of years thanks to the Staff of Hermes, giving it to Layla at the end ofAssassin’s Creed Odyssey. The similarity between the two was even turned into a joke by Ubisoft, as whenKassandra appears inValhalla(with the crossover), Eivor finds her because she is looking for Randvi. The two had matching descriptions.
It could be argued then that Randvi was intentionally meant to look this way, but it would seem thatUbisoft’sOdyssey-ValhallaCrossover DLCwas more last-minute than some fans would hope. In fact, it’s because Ubisoft still had open pipelines forOdysseyand thought to do something with them. This is why it’s unlikelyOriginsandValhallaget a crossover, as they would require resurrecting old pipelines. Now, it’s unlikely of course that Lady Hellbender has anything to do with this, but it is odd how fans can see the immortal Kassandra everywhere, including other titles.
