The idea of multiple video game IPs coming together in a collaborative title that showcases the strengths of both individual franchises is a pretty exciting prospect indeed.There are several crossover gamesthat have been released in the same vein that are an absolute joy to play through. A fighting game released by Square Enix that was pretty well-received for its time, it’s a shame that more people don’t talk aboutEhrgeiz. This game definitely deserves way more love than what has come its way.

People love crossovers mainly because of how odd yet engrossing these mashups can be. There’s no greater example of this thanNicktoons MLB, a baseball game featuring characters fromNickelodeonand real-life superstars fromMajor League Baseball.
It’s easily one of the oddest crossovers around, with theNickelodeoncharacters looking hilariously out of place in an otherwise realistic game. However, the game’s mechanics were solid andfans of sports gameswould have a great time with this title indeed.
8Cadence Of Hyrule
Crypt of the NecroDanceris one of the most unique indie games around. The idea of combining a dungeon crawler with rhythm game mechanics sounds odd, but only the brilliant minds in the indie scene could’ve pulled it off so spectacularly.

The game was so unique that Nintendo signed these developers to form a spin-off of this game using characters fromThe Legend of Zelda. The end result isCadence of Hyrule, a brilliant and imaginative romp through familiar Zelda worlds with the brilliant gameplay ofCrypt of the NecroDancer.
7Heroes Of The Storm
Heroes of the Stormis one of the most underrated MOBAs around. The game isa crossover of all of Blizzard’s franchises, resulting in an unputdownable experience that is simply delectable.
However, it seems that Blizzard itself has forgotten about this MOBA, given the lack of any meaningful updates or content packs in recent times. As a result, the player base of this game has dipped severely, resulting in this popular MOBA slowly turning into a relic of the not-too-distant past.

The idea of Mario playing against Shaquille O’Neal is such a hilarious idea that most people would want to see this come to fruition. What most people don’t realize is that this crossover has already happened on the GameCube!
NBA Street V3had a roster of modern NBA superstars and legends when it was released, but the GameCube featured notable additions of its own. Players could play asMario, Peach, and Luigias well, which came from an agreement between Nintendo and EA at the time.
5Pokemon Conquest
Pokemonis the most popular and valuable IP of all time, so it’s only a given that this series would be the subject of many crossovers. However, no one expected that this massive franchise would collaborate with a relatively unknown series called Nobunaga’s Ambition.
The end result is a surprisingly competent and entertaining tactical role-playing game that was released for the Nintendo DS. It’s a shame that more people don’t talk about this game nowadays, with the idea ofPokemonin a historical Japanese setting being quite riveting indeed.
