Sole developer FYQD Studio released a new gameplay trailer for its in-development titleBright Memory: Infiniteduring the Inside Xbox live stream today. To the uninitiated, FYQD releasedBright MemoryviaSteam’sEarly Access program for the PC in January 2019, and the game officially left early access last March. However, FYQD decided to call this version of the game finished, and moved towards a more fleshed-out version withBright Memory: Infinite.

The latest gameplay footage ofBright Memory: Infinitethat was revealed during the Inside Xbox live stream showcased a well-polished and action-packed first-person shooter that features heavy gunplay combined with hack and slash elements and even a vehicle chase sequence. What’s impressive with this game is that it is being developed by a single individual, with audio, music, and publishing support from Playism. Additionally, Xbox’s Head of Global Portfolio Damon Baker revealed thatBright Memory: Infinite, and the rest of the games that were showcased at Inside Xbox, will be optimized for the Xbox Series X.

Damon also revealed thatBright Memory: Infinitewill include support for a new smart delivery system, allowing players to purchase the game once and own their future Xbox consoles. Unfortunately, given thatBright Memory: Infinitewill be released tothe Xbox Series X, its release date was not revealed during the Inside Xbox live stream. However, the game is expected to launch shortly after the release of the next-generation Xbox console. Given its impressive design and features such as high-frame-rate support and ray tracing, it is mind-boggling to know that the game is being developed by a single individual.

Bright Memory: Infiniteis set in a futuristic world in the year 2036. However, a strange phenomenon occurred in the skies around the world that scientists cannot explain. This prompted The Supernatural Science Organization (SRO) to send in agents from around the world to investigate the mysterious occurrence. From the sound of it,Bright Memory: Infinite’splot does soundsimilar to Remedy Entertainment’sControl. However, its gameplay is vastly different fromControlwith its first-person perspective and fast-paced heavy action experience.

During the early access of the first game, may players notedBright Memory’ssimilarity with Capcom’sDevil May Cryfranchise. However, even thoughBright MemoryandDevil May Cryshared the same aesthetics, the former is a first-person action shooter, that offers an interesting story and adrenaline-pumping gameplay.
