Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s latest playlist update is here as of April 14th, and with it comes an entirely new playlist called the Stir Crazy playlist. The patch is certain tochange things up quite a bit for players, but some are finding themselves less than satisfied with its content.
Stir Crazy will be a 10 v 10 playlist featuring Cranked, Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed. There is also a hardcore version ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s new playlist confirmed as well, and it is very similar, still featuring Cranked, Domination, and Kill Confirmed, but replacing Hardpoint with Team Deathmatch. These playlists are notable because they features 10 v 10 combat encounters on maps which are usually restricted to a 6 v 6 limit.

Beyond this, there are also some general fixes made to address bugs and improve performance, and theupdate toWarzonebrings a new playlist as well, entitled Scopes and Scatterguns. This is effectively a trio mode which limits players' choice of weaponry only to shotguns and snipers.
The new Stir Crazy playlist is certainly going to create some insane situations, as packing twenty players onto a map ment for 12 will make things much more tense and confrontational. That said, thenew playlisthas stirred up some controversy, as many fans find the update to be rather pointless due to its similarity to the mosh pit mode which this update removed. Still, it seems like the changes made to the maps' capacity will mix things up at least enough to hold players over until more desired updates such as the introduction of duos toWarzonemake their way in.
Other changes coming with the update include the addition of Drop Zone to both core and hardcore playlists, although this comes at the cost of the removal of Deathmatch Domination. For the most part, fan reaction to the update has been either indifferent or negative, as many claim it feels too similar to what was already in the game. This paired with the fact thatDuos forWarzonewas not officially announcedseems to have left a sour taste in the mouths of players.
That said,Duos should be coming sometime this seasonif the recent promotional image that was leaked is to be believed, so fans don’t have long to wait for that. In the meantime, players should take advantage of the Double XP and Double Weapon XP event starting this Friday and continuing on until the 20th of April.
