A newCall of Duty: Warzone 2bug randomly sends a player to the Gulag even though they were simply driving around the map. Following the excitement during the first month or so after the launch ofCall of Duty: Warzone 2, it seems the game has started to fall on tough times. While there’s still plenty of folks who enjoy dropping in on Al Mazrah, the game has seen a rise in frustrating bugs and glitches, many of which hamper the overall experience and leading many prominent players likeDr Disrespect to criticize and threaten to outright quit playingentirely.
Asrumors of theWarzone 2player base continuing to dropspread and more and more bugs being reported and shown online, it seems Raven Software is finding itself in a very important spot as it works to resolve these issues while continuing to deliver a good experience for players. While this includes content generation, the developer is constantly seeing requests from players to tune certain gameplay aspects like the Recon Drone and even swimming, which many have deemed overpowered. Unfortunately, a new glitch seems to have been discovered and threatens to undermine matches if left unchecked.

The discovery comes from a user named DragoxDrago on theCall of Duty: Warzonesubreddit who shared a dual perspective clip of them and then from their teammate. As Drago and their squad mate are driving through a tunnel in Al Mazrah, the screen suddenly goes black as Drago’s partner is sent to the Gulag seemingly at random. However, the viewpoint of Drago, things take a different turn as their perspective shows that same car glitches out and is wildly flung across the map before exploding against what appears to be an invisible wall.
The entire sequence makes little sense and so far, no one has been able to provide a theory as to why this happened. While most users in the comments section found this moment pretty entertaining, other stories started popping up of similar Gulag glitchessuch as one user who was sent there after opening a buy station. Another mentioned a similar event happening in that same tunnel, when hitting the halfway point on a Quad Bike, they were stopped and spawned outside the tunnel before the quad randomly exploded.
Either way, this is a very strange issue that Raven will hopefully be able to identify and fix, especially with Season 2 being delayed. While this glitch can be pretty harmful to those seeking a win, some bugs can be more lighthearted, including a visual bug giving many objects and structures a pulsating rainbow effect. OneWarzoneuser took the opportunity to record the footage and add the in Super Star invincibility theme from theSuper Mariofranchise to the background.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
