Call of Duty: Warzonefans were introduced to the game’s unique respawn system at launch. The Gulag gave fans a chance to earn a second life midmatch and redeploy back into the AO. Although a clever respawn solution, theWarzone’sGulag is not without its own packet of problems.

Introducing the Gulag meant that the Battle Royale rule of “one life and a player is out” does not apply as much. A second chance at life can mean the difference between a victory and a defeat in the fast-paced action experience ofWarzone. Two lives were the limit until thisunusualWarzonebugdecided that every fan deserves another life and provided them with infinite revives.

In the video posted by b6109 players can clearly see that it is the final circle. Gas is closing in and the yellow banner reading “Gulag is Closed” seems permanently stuck to the screen. As he downs a player, he turns to see someone else has just dropped in. Eventually, he ends up in aWarzonepistol brawlas people continue to spawn back into the game infinitely. In his video alone, he gets three respawns. Although it is not clear how this glitch got triggered, it made the game go on infinitely with no winner.

Looking at the top right corner the population number stayed at a constant zero while the kills continued to tick up. Gauging by the mini-map, players were spawning and parachuting back in over and over again way after the gas had completely overrun the map.

Anything could have caused this endless glitch.Warzoneis known to be full of minor bugs, strange errors, and unique exploits. Theoretically, if two players stayed in the lobby then that game could continue indefinitely. Players in the comments brainstormed the possibilities of using this glitch as a way to ruin their SBMM score and avoid hackers. Although not a real solution, it could still serve as aunique way to avoidWarzonehackers.

Although it was all fun and games the endless round seems to have had an effect on a player’s stats. Players who average around 6 to 15 kills on solo were ending the game with 27 or more kills. Although a good way to pad stats, there are concerns about how it could affect SBMM and other in-game balancing features.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
