Monster Hunter Worldis getting a free content update very soon, and now it finally has a release date.Title update 4, which was originally set to release in May, is coming to players on July 9th. Many of the details around this title update are still unknown, but a developer diaries on July 3rd should reveal some info.

The upcoming title update forMonster Hunter Worldwas delayed previously because of Coronavirus, and Capcom has done well keeping its contents under wraps. The only thing confirmed so far is that it will add Alatreon, one of the endgame Elder Dragons fromMonster Hunter Tri.

AlthoughMonster Hunter Triwasn’t entirely well received due to it being exclusive to the Wii,Alatreon is a fan favorite. This monster changes its elemental affinities and weaknesses depending on whether or not it is grounded or in the air, and just looks incredible as well.

The developer diaries set on July 3rd should reveal other details such as if there are any other new monsters being added, new quests and equipment, and more to players. Those wanting to watch that should tune in at 5 AM PDT to get the latest news straight from the developers. Alongside this, anew Event Quest schedulewill appear on theMonster Hunterwebsite on July 3rd as well, meaning hunters can get back into the swing of things with both new and old events and all the bizarre rewards that come with them.

Thesteady slew of free content added toMonster Hunter World: Iceborneis greatly appreciated by fans.Monster Huntergames have always included new events and whatnot, but few beforeWorldhave added monsters that weren’t in the game at launch or released massive DLC content likeIceborne. It seems like this game is around to stay, although there hasn’t been any official word on whether or notIcebornewill get a next gen port or if it will instead receive a sequel. Either way, July 3rd will bring some exciting new information and July 9th will bring some invigorating new challenges.
