Anyone looking forward to playingCyberpunk 2077will be happy to know that the game won’t end up delayed again — at least, it shouldn’t be.Cyberpunk 2077’sdeveloper CD Projekt Redbelieves that the game will already be in circulation by the time the studio provides the next update for its fiscal quarter.

CD Projekt Red releases a fiscal update every quarter-year and every half-year. In the studio’s latest update video released Thursday, CFO Piotr Nielubowicz said that by the time the studio’s next report comes out,Cyberpunk 2077’s release will have already happened, which is good considering the game’s release history.

Since Nielubowicz officially confirmed the game will be out before December, CD Projekt Red must have finally taken care of the excess bugs that were popping up, leading to prior delays. Barring anything out of the studio’s control,Cyberpunk 2077’s November release dateshouldn’t get pushed back again.

All of that said, Nielubowicz’s statement isn’t necessarily a guarantee. There’s always the possibility that some unforeseen problems could come up and cause the studio to postpone its game again.Cyberpunk 2077’s developmentis one of the best example of this, as it entered its final stages of development last year, yet suffered back-to-back delays after that.

Cyberpunk 2077delayshave happened twice so far. The game was going to release on April 16, but CD Projekt Red ended up postponing until September 17 because the title was more buggy than the developer expected. It needed more time to polish the game, and by extension, the player’s experience.

The second delay happened not long after the first, and pushed back the release date to November 13. CD Projekt Red said this delay also happened because there were more bugs than anticipated, and that the studio needed more time to fix them.Cyberpunk 2077’s multiplayerand other DLC plans were also pushed back as a result.

These bugs may be a testament to how ambitiousCyberpunk 2077claims to be. CD Projekt Red plans for it to be even bigger thanThe Witcher 3,becoming the biggest game ever made by the studio. With that in mind, it’s not surprising that the title has suffered delays. If anything, it’s surprising that the main thing reportedly slowing the developer down has been glitches considering a global pandemic has affected the majority of 2020.

Cyberpunk 2077is set to release on November 19th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One with future releases on PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X.
