TheSuicide Squadis a team of supervillains from DC Comics. The idea behind the team was first conceived in 1959, and the squad has featured teams of rotating members ever since. Run by Amanda Waller, the goal of theSuicide Squadis simple. These villains take on any task deemed too dangerous for one of the good guys. The catch behind this deal is that anyone who disobeys Wallers' orders has the bomb in their neck detonated.

8Deadshot
A mercenary with no superpowers may not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the best members of the Suicide Squad. However, this expert marksman has one very vital trick up his sleeve. He can hit a target from any distance whether it is still or moving.
This villain is one ofBatman’s most troubled roguesand joined the Suicide Squad in 1987. Deadshot has been a consistent member of the team ever since and is the perfect weapon to use on some of the squads' stealth missions.
7Killer Frost
Killer Frost is one ofThe Flash’s best villainswho started on the team in 1987. She isn’t as much of a consistent member as some of the others, but Killer Frost is the best villain in the DC universe who can manipulate and create ice.
The main thing that separates Killer Frost from other ice-themed villains in the universe is that she has no qualms about killing. Without hesitating, Killer Frost will quickly dispatch a room full of guards with just a simple command. The worst part is that she most likely won’t feel bad about doing so.
6Poison Ivy
Dr Lilian Rose gained the power to control nature after a failed attempt to poison her. Now, she goes by the name Poison Ivy and isoften a consistent thorn in the side of Batman. Possibly one of DC Comics' most recognizable villains, Poison Ivy is also linked closely to another member of the squad, Harley Quinn.
Joining the Suicide Squad in 1989, Poison Ivy’s ability to manipulate all plant life is a handy skill. However, Poison Ivy’s best asset is her ability to seduce and employ others to do her bidding is especially dangerous.
5The Thinker
The Thinker is a Flash villain who gained his powers when testing a prototype thinking cap. When an explosion occurred at STAR Labs, Clifford Devoe was gifted with super-human intelligence. Although The Thinker originated as a character in the late 1940s, he didn’t actually get the chance to shine on the Suicide Squad until 1988.
The Thinker’s intelligence allows him to solve incredibly difficult problems in record time. This ability places him behind the scenes of the squad’s operations more often than not, especially inJames Gunn’sThe Suicide Squad.
4Parasite
There are few characters in DC Comics who canstand toe-to-toe with Supermanon a regular basis and come out unscathed. However, that is the exact role of Parasite, an otherworldly being who can sap the life force and powers of other creatures.
Of course, such a powerful villain would catch the eye of Amanda Waller, and Parasite was first brought in to serve on the Suicide Squad in 1987. Parasite is far from subtle and is the perfect counter to any superheroes looking to stop the Suicide Squad from completing their mission.
3King Shark
King Shark has gone through a number of changes throughout the years; however, this amphibious shark-man has been a great addition to the Suicide Squad ever since 1998. Having taken on heroes like The Flash and Aquaman, there islittle that can stop King Sharkwhen he is tasked with something.
This superstrong swimmer is vital for any mission that takes place near water. Although, King Shark is pretty useful to the squad in almost every manifestation. The problem is, anyone who gets too close to King Shark might just get eaten.
2Captain Boomerang
Captain Boomerang AKA Digger Harkness is an Australian outlaw who is most well-known for spending years tormenting The Flash. Harkness has no real powers; however, he is a mechanical genius. Instead of using this gift for the good of humankind, Captain Boomerang chose to use his gift to fashion some high-tech boomerangs to help him commit various robberies.
Captain Boomerang is an unruly and unpredictable enemy, but the fact that he is easily motivated by money helps the rest of the Suicide Squad keep him on their side. That is why he has been a prominent member of the team since 1987.
1Harley Quinn
Harley Quinn is one of the most recent additions to the pantheon of DC villains, as she made her first appearance in the Batman Animated series instead of the comics. Originally debuting as the Joker’s equally insane girlfriend who is good at wielding a mallet, Harley Quinn has managed to forge her own identity over the last thirty years and is now a popular character in her own right.
Part of this character evolution is in large part due to Harley’s participation as a member of the Suicide Squad. She joined the team as late as 2011, but she is now synonymous with the group. In fact, many people recognize Harley Quinn as a member of the Suicide Squad above anything else.
