Summary

Dead By Daylighthas amassed an impressive roster of terrifying killers, but pulling a few from lesser-expected placed could bolster its solid selection. Due to the nature ofDead By Daylight, it relies on having killers that are not only visually interesting, but have interesting mechanics as well. That way, the game can be fun for killer players, and an exciting experience for survivor players as well. Since the game could always use more killers, it may help to look in unexpected places.

At this point,Dead By Daylight’s many crossoversare one of the biggest selling points of the game. Several of the most iconic horror characters in film have made their way into the game, from Michael Myers to Ghostface. The game hasn’t limited itself to film as well, asStranger Things' Demogorgon andResident Evil’s Albert Wesker are also among the game’s many killers.Dead By Daylight’s crossovers have proven highly fruitful, and future guests have a high bar to clear.

Even thoughRed Dead Redemption 2’s Van Der Linde gangare outlaws, most of them have redeeming qualities. The same cannot be said for Micah Bell III. In stark contrast to the rough but likable Arthur Morgan, Micah seems to revel in causing pain for the sake of it. While the rest of the gang is focused on trying to make money, Micah’s love of cruelty and murder may make him more comfortable amongDead By Daylight’s killers.

While Micah wouldn’t be the only cowboy in the fog thanks toDead By Daylight’s Deathslingeralready existing, he could certainly have his own twist as a cowboy killer. Micah could use his twin pistols as his weapon, pistol-whipping as his primary attack and firing them as a ranged option limited by his available ammo. In addition, his sadistic personality could come out by having him taunt the survivors similarly to Wesker, albeit in a more characteristically crude way.

Even in a world full of thieves,Micah is truly evil inRDR2, and few Rockstar villains have sunk to the depths that he has. To be honest, enteringDead By Daylightand being able to kill survivors over and over would likely be Micah’s idea of paradise. In life, Micah was a sadistic bully who devoted himself to ruining everybody around him. He’s more twisted and vile than many of the game’s preexisting killers, and he would relish the challenge of showing them up.

Dark Souls Unforgettable NPCs Knight Lautrec

Liu Kang’s new universe may have seenShao Kahn demoted inMortal Kombat 1, but his history in the series still makes him a fierce figure. The longtime ruler of Outworld, Shao Kahn was a brutal tyrant who thought nothing of slaughtering anyone in his path. Unwilling to compromise and always desiring more, this gave him a solid spot as one of the series' main antagonists. Such a fearsome reputation would make him worthy of joiningDead By Daylight’s existing slashers.

The threatening Wrath Hammer is a key part ofShao Kahn’s barbaric design inMortal Kombat, and it would be his weapon inDead By Daylight. He has shown several moves in the series that could translate toDead By Daylight; he could throw his hammer, leap at enemies from afar, or use it to smash the ground, disrupting survivors within his terror radius. His history of performing fatalities could also give way to an absolutely brutal match-finishing mori animation.

SeveralDead by Daylightkillers would make sense asguest fighters inMortal Kombat, and Shao Kahn could do the same by crossing over into the horror multiverse.Albert Wesker and Nemesis already crossed over due to their legendary status fromResident Evil, and Shao Kahn is similarly memorable. Shao Kahn can accomplish horrific deeds every time he fights. If he joinedDead By Daylight’s killers, he would have a new battlefield in which to slay his rivals.

A major reason whyDead By Daylight’s crossovers are so goodis how well they can recreate the essence of a character, and the same could be done for Lautrec of Carim fromDark Souls. Initially seeming like an odd but friendly knight in golden armor, the player can free Lautrec from a cell early in the game, and he can assist them in a boss fight later on. However, he showed his true colors when he murdered Firelink Shrine’s fire keeper, Anastacia, for seemingly no reason.

Although not as impressive asDark Souls' biggest boss weapons, Lautrec’s shotels have a distinctive and menacing look. In addition, his devotion to his goddess Fina could be developed into a power. Shrines or statues of Fina could be placed throughout the map. He could pray at the shrines, giving him temporary abilities such as a speed boost or killer instinct. Conversely, players could pray for their own effects, or prevent Lautrec from using Fina’s blessings for himself.

UnlikeDead By Daylight’s Knight, Tarhos Kovacs, Lautrec’s golden armor could fool one into thinking that he’s a good guy at first. However, his actions eventually reveal the truth. Loyal to none but himself and Fina, he has murdered at least one innocent person, and his early imprisonment implies that there could be more. InDead By Daylight’s realms, Lautrec would likely have no issue with continuing to kill in Fina’s name.

It’s still a mystery as to what thenextDead By Daylightcrossoverwill be, although it’s expected to be another horror franchise. However, by reaching elsewhere, Behavior could find characters that are just as murderous and cruel as the most evil killers that The Entity has drawn into its realm. None of these characters hailed from horror properties, but they could prove to be some of the evilest killers inDead By Daylightif added to the game.

Dead By Daylightis available now for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
