Summary

Bungie releases the ahamkara inspired Risen emblem for allDestiny 2players using a redeemable code in celebration of the Lunar New Year event. Although Season of the Wish has become much longer than players anticipateddue to the Final Shape delay, Bungie is attempting to keep players busy with new content, such as activities like the upcoming Guardian Games or Into The Light event, but the company is also handing out more free gifts than it typically has in the past.

Just this past week, Bungie revealed thatDestiny 2players can earn free Bright Dustfor logging in each week. Starting on March 5, players can visit Tess Everis at the Tower or through the Director menu to earn 700 Bright Dust, a currency which can be used to purchase new cosmetic items from the in-game store. According to Bungie, this gift will remain in place all the way up to the launch of The Final Shape in June, so players should be able to accumulate plenty of currency provided they continue to log in each week. In additiion to Bright Dust, Bungie has finally made a highly sought after emblem available to all.

In time with the Lunar New Year event, which celebrates the Year of the Dragon, Bungie has finally released the highly anticipated Risen Emblem that was previously only available on the Chinese website known as BiliBili. Following its reveal, the Risen emblem has seemingly been a hit with manyDestiny 2players thanks to its almost watercolor look and style, with an Ahamkara in the front and center to celebrate the Lunar New Year’s featured animal, the Dragon. To unlock the emblem, players will need to redeem the 9-digit code Bungie has provided through the link in their message, or by manually going to the code redemption page on Bungie.net.

TheDestiny 2emblem actually leaked weeks ago, though at that time, it wasn’t clear if or when it would arrive at all for players outside of China. Naturally, this prompted many players to find ways to unlock it, with many attempting to sign in to the BiliBili website directly and link their Bungie account. With the amount of effort being used, theofficial Destiny 2 Team account on Twitter/Xposted a message at the time confirming that the Risen emblem would eventually be made available for all players soon.

Earlier this year, Bungie also revealed a new community event which would unlock another previously leaked emblem for the entireDestiny 2community. Season of the Wish brought with it aDestiny 2andWitchercollaboration, which featured new cosmetic items for Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks in addition to other items like emotes. However, players also discovered a new emblem called Adventurous Spirit, which Bungie eventually used as a reward once players were able to defeat 7,777,777 enemies using swords.
