Destiny 2Beyond Light is here and with it comes a variety of new things to discover. While a lot of the more mysterious parts of Beyond Light are better left for personal discovery, there is one element that most players might be curious about: How to turn the Crux Convergence public event Heroic.
How to Complete the Crux Convergence Public Event
The Crux Convergence Public Event is a new PE for Beyond Light that canspawn on Europa. Destiny 2players will get a notification about a Crux appearing on the map and they will head to the area to prepare for a Fallen mech showdown.
The Crux Convergence event starts with a trio of Fallen Mechs (called Brigs) appearing in the Public Event zone. These Fallen Mechs look like smaller versions of Insurrection Prime, the final boss from theScourge of the Past raid, and they have purple shields that protect them from all damage.
To complete the vanilla version of the Crux Convergence Public Event on Europa,Destiny 2players need to destroy the three mechs, but that is easier said than done. First, there is the matter of removing the shields, which is done by capturing the area below a Crux. It looks like a vertical sliver of the Darkness ships that have invaded theDestinyworld over the last few seasons.
Once players have captured one area, the shield on one of the mechs will disappear and it will be open to damage. Destroy it and a new Crux will appear and the process will repeat two more times. Once all three Brigs have been defeated, players can claim their loot.
Turn Crux Convergence into Heroic Fallen Brigs
However, if players want to upgrade their loot, they can turn the Crux ConvergencePublic Event Heroic. To do so, players need to shoot the small drones that fly around the Crux while their teammates and friendly neighbors are capturing the zone. If all three sets of drones are eliminated then the Heroic Public Event should trigger. Players will know that they have done it correctly if the Public Event notification says Fallen Brigs instead of Crux Convergence.
The Heroic Fallen Brigs Public Event is similar to a lot of the other Public Events aroundDestiny 2in that triggering the unique version brings out a boss. In this case, the boss for the Europa Public Event is an even bigger Fallen Brig that, while still not as large asInsurrection Prime, is closer in size.
Defeating this Public Event boss is fairly straightforward – the enemy takes damage from anywhere – but players can speed up the process by removing the mech’s face plate. This will reveal a weak point that does precision hit damage.
It has only been less than 24 hours since thelaunch ofDestiny 2: Beyond Light, so there are likely plenty more secrets to uncover in the coming days. But those players who want to get the most out of their efforts will want to look for the drones in order to make the Crux Convergence Public Event Heroic.
