In its latest weekly address, Bungie answers community questions regarding the future ofDestiny 2and reveals that the Broodweaver Warlock is getting some buffs in Season 22. As a live service title,Destiny 2is always changing and evolving, thanks in large part to its seasonal structure. Not only does each season add new content and storylines, but Bungie typically takes the opportunity to release a major update that impacts many core aspects of the experience.
In fact, Season of the Deep, which is still only a few weeks out to this point, had one of the bigger updates when it launched towards the end of May.Destiny 2Season 21not only rebalanced exotics, weapons, and subclasses, but it also added new features like a way to focus exotic engrams, added 3 more Strand Aspects, and didn’t actually change anything about the seasonal power cap. Even with a huge list of adjustments, changes, and additions, Bungie continues to toil away on what’s coming down the road and decided to address more than a few community concerns.

Thenewly renamed The Week In Destiny blogtook on a number of frequently asked questions from the community, addressing a variety of topics including upcoming weapon buffs, ability tuning, and more. One question in particular was aimed at the Strand Warlock, with the question addressing the fact that Broodweavers were originally positioned as minion masters. However, many players have recently felt like the Threadling minions feel underwhelming inside higher difficulties and end-game content.
Thankfully, Bungie seems to agree with this assessment and provided an outline on how it plans to address these concerns in Season 22. Taking on a two phased approach, Bungie intends to implement a “sizable increase” to how much damage Threadlings do to PvE targets, while also reducing the duration and uptime of suspend sources. Not only that, The newestDestiny 2Strand aspect, The Wanderer, is getting adjusted to address community feedback regarding its effectiveness, but the studio didn’t provide any specifics on what is changing.
Weapons were another big focus of the question and answer session, with kinetic weapons and Glaives seemingly positioned for big changes. In terms of the later, Bungie specifically mentioned that these changes are intended to make Glaives more satisfying to use, especially in PvP. Theclass-specific exotic Glaives introduced in the Witch Queen expansionare also getting major updates, specifically for how players will be able to activate the Exotic perk.
Destiny 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
