Destiny 2’smost mysterious destination, the Dreaming City, still holds a major secret in the form of Wish 15. It has been nearly two years since the Forsaken expansion released, and still there are elements of the DLC that players haven’t discovered.
For those who haven’t playedDestiny 2: Forsaken,the Dreaming City storyline focused on the Awokenand their dealings with Ahamkara (aka wish-dragons). The Last Wish raid further built on the idea of granting wishes by allowing players to input a code at the beginning of the raid to unlock special boons.

Some of these wishes skipped to specific encounters in the raid, while others unlocked one-time bonuses like a key for the final chest. Datamining of theDestiny 2files for Last Wish told players that there were 15 total wishes, but players could only find the codes for 14.
Bungie has not said whether there is a 15th Wish in the game, but there is enough evidence to believe there is. It is not visible in-game, but there is a triumph associated with Wish 15 in the database that reads “This one you shall cherish. -Riven of a Thousand Voices.”
Every previous wish was found physically in the game world, as plates depicting codes for the Wall of Wishes.Dataminers have come a long way sinceForsakenand there has been no word regarding a wish 15 plate hiding somewhere in the game files. This means it either hasn’t been added yet or wish 15 simply will not manifest as a physical object in the game.
Late last year, one of the more popular theories regarding wish 15 was debunked whenBagel4k solo-ed the Shattered Throne dungeon at 999 power level. Some believed that this was a potential solution to the 15th Wish because aDestiny 2lore book told players to “Achieve Light Level 999” and finish the Shattered Throne alone to “unlock the true ending of the Dreaming City.”
Bagel4k’s feat (which included coaching from topDestinyplayers) ultimately revealed nothing about the Dreaming City, but it was recognized by Bungie in an official blog post. The article was laden with cryptic messages from Savathun, indicating that this was all a ruse. The lore entry had also stated that everything written in it was mere hallucinations anyway.
Some have considered the possibility of “guessing” the code through brute force, but Redditor Nexii801 ran the numbers a while ago and found that the number of possible wishes is larger than the age of the universe, in seconds. For the longest time, many fans felt like wish 15 wasDestiny 2’s version of the7th chest from the Vault of Glass, an impossible chase to uncover a supposed secret.
Before season 11 was revealed asSeason of Arrivals, some fans had speculated that it would be a continuation of the Forsaken expansion. The reason being, both of the previous seasons had mimicked the two expansions leading up toForsaken:Curse of Osiris and Warmind, in that order. Thus, it was theorized that season 11 would continue the trend, culminating with wish 15 and/or the end of Dreaming City’s curse.
WhileSeason of Arrivalshas significant story implications, it does not tie in with the Dreaming City. The expansion that followsBeyond Light,The Witch Queen, might as it refers toSavathun, the enemy heavily involved with the Dreaming City’s curse. Therefore, the current consensus is that wish 15 and the Dreaming City storyline will be resolved in some way with the release ofThe Witch Queen.
It’s also possible that the event leading up toThe Witch Queenwill include the code because it will be part of Season 15. Regarding time, it makes sense to situate the closure of Dreaming City around season 15-16, as this is most likely whenForsakencontent will be vaulted.
