Darth Microtransaction has been playingDiablo 4since it launched and, since the start of the new season, has been thoroughly exploring all the new content and changes. During a stream early into his playthrough of Season 1, he was showing off his new Hardcore Necromancer and explaining some changes to powers and abilities. The overall tone of Darth Microtransaction’s comments was quite positive until tragedy struck. Suddenly, during what looked like a normal fight, his Necromancer was killed in approximately three hits. While he’s hardly the firstDiablo 4streamer who made a mistake and lost a Hardcore character, the death still must have hurt.
Darth Microtransaction’s surprise was immediately evident as he explained what had just happened to his viewers. He then jokingly added, “I change my mind, I hate this season.” He did seem to take the whole thing in stride and, in the comments below the video he posted of the incident, emphasized that he does still love the new season. Still, saying goodbye to a Hardcore character isn’t exactly the most positive glimpse of the new season.
The death was likely all the more frustrating as it wasn’t to a boss or even an elite mob. Instead, Darth Microtransaction died to what appeared to be a fairly average group of enemies. This led some fans to comment in on the video that they avoid playing Necromancer because they tend to be squishier and prone to these sorts of sudden deaths. Whilea good PvE Necromancer buildcan help to limit the dangers, there’s no getting around the fact the class isn’t designed to take a lot of hits.
On the other hand, the character was only at level 32 at the time of his death which, hopefully, took some of the sting out of it. While level 32 does represent serious time and effort, it’s nowhere near level cap. Darth Microtransaction may have had trouble taking it all in stride if his character had hit level 100. Regardless, the streamer is still a fan of the new season and his views can hope to see him running a new Necromancer soon. In the meantime, he should probablyreview the best armor sets for Necromancersto be safe.
