InPokemon Legends: Arceus, players discover that the Pokemon of the past are not the same as those in games set during a more current era. They roam outside the tall grass, and in this adventure some run away while others will brutally attack the player. To reflect this change in gameplay, Game Freak also made changes to some returning moves.
In total,Pokemon Legends: Arceusmade changes to 53 moves. Not all these changes are the same though, with most moves adjusting their power levels while others have effect changes or new accuracy.

Legends: Arceus Moves With Accuracy Changes
There are a number of moves with accuracy reductions, although a majority of moves have improved - achange fans may love to see inPokemonLegends: Arceus.
Both Thunder and Hypnosis have increased their accuracy from 70 to 75 and 60 to 70, respectively. Thunder has also seen its power decreased from 110 to 100.

Stealth Rock and Spikes have their category changedfrom “Status” to “Physical,” causing the move to gain 40 power, 100 accuracy, and they now deal recurring damage to Pokemon on the field rather than only causing damage upon being switched in.
Dark Void remains a Status move, although it has had its accuracy bumped up from 50 to 90, and has the additional effect of causing Drowsiness rather than Sleep.

Snarl goes from 95 to 100 accuracy and 55 to 60 power, and Blizzard goes from 70 to 75 accuracy and 110 to 100 power.
Moves With Effect Changes
Due to new changes to the effects system such as Fixated, Obscured, and Hard-Hitting Stances unique tothe Pokemon of Hisui, several moves have changed the effects they inflict. SincePokemon Legends: Arceusmoved away from the typical turn-based system of previous games, there are some moves that act differently, too.
These moves no longer causes the target Pokemon to flinch or become confused, respectively, but never miss by avoiding accuracy and evasion checks.
Giga Impact and Hyper Beam have both lost the need to “recharge” during the Pokemon’s next turn, and instead have their action speed lowered. All three moves have power lowered from 150 to 120.
Outrage has decreased accuracy from 90 to 80 and reduced power from 120 to 100. One of thechanges inPokemon Legends: Arceuswas the removal of the Confusion status condition, so the using Pokemon becomes Fixated instead.
Rather than being locked onto using Rollout over five consecutive turns, Rollout causes its user to become Fixated. Rollout also had its power increased from 30 to 40.
As Arceus' signature move, Judgment’s PP was reduced from 8 to 5, and the move’s type is determined by the Plate that Arceus last interacted with rather than which Plate is held by Arceus. When using Judgment with the new ultimate plate involved, Arceus will transform into whichever type Judgment has an advantage, and thus will always earn a same-type attack bonus.
Shadow Force gained the Obscured effect, replacing the effect causing it to skip a turn, disappear, and attack on the user’s next turn.
Rather than hitting the opponent twice in a turn with an increased chance of a critical hit,Double Hit has become a Status movethat causes its user to adopt a Hard-Hitting Stance - increasing damage dealt by 50 percent.
Steel Beam causes 50 percent health-worth of damage to its user, and has had its power cut from 150 to 120.
Since Sleep is no longer a status effect inPokemon Legends: Arceus, Rest instead causes Drowsiness and heals the user by only a percentage.
Rather than the targetPokemon needing a poisoned status, Venoshock’s Power is doubled regardless of the status condition inflicted.
Magma Storm no longer traps the target in a storm that causes damage for multiple turns. Instead, it leaves the opponent with a burn.
Pin Missile has had changes to its power (from 25 to 40), accuracy (from 95 to 100), and effect. Rather than the user damaging its opponent multiple times during a turn, Pin Missile causes damage over several turns.
Like Judgment, Hidden Power changes its type to always deal super-effective damage to the target, and is dependent on the target Pokemon rather than an Item.
Moves With Power Changes
Keeping toPokemon Legends: Arceus' strategy-based gameplay, many moves have had their power cut from five-to-20 points. Other moves have increased power instead.
These moves have increased their power to 60, 80, 30, and 30, respectively.
These moves have had their power reduced by 20 points.
Head Smash has reduced power to 120 from 150.
Self-Destruct has the most significant cut in power, changing from 200 to 150.
