AFallout 4player has spotted what they believe could be a potentialStarfieldconnection in the Nuka World DLC. It’s well known thatFallout 3offered hints aboutFallout 4years in advance, and if Bethesda has purposefully done it again, it’s an impressive feat.
As a studio, Bethesda has developed a famous reputation over the years for incredible attention to detail. No matter if it’s anElder ScrollsorFalloutgame, the studio has always included niche details that often take gamers years to find. Just recently,Fallout 4players discovered that Dogmeat holds his teddy bear with his mouth, an adorable detail that most won’t encounter throughout their playthrough. In a sense, it’s almost not surprising when Bethesda goes out of its way to include a hidden reference, but it never stops being exciting.

Redditor ConradG13 pointed out the possible reference, which can be found inFallout 4’s Nuka World DLC. In the “Vault-Tec Among The Stars” presentation, it takes place on the planet Arcturus I, whileStarfield’s showcase shows a planet titled Arcturus III. It has been revealed thatStarfieldwill feature thousands of planets, so it’s certainly possible that Bethesda has included a reference to some of its former titles along the way. It would almost feel like a missed opportunity if it never did, but the inclusion of the Adoring Fan fromOblivionsuggests there will be plenty more to discover uponStarfield’s release.
Others in the thread pointed out that Arcturus is actually a real star close to Earth, so even if it isn’t an Easter egg, there’s still a strong explanation for its inclusion in both games. It wasn’t the only reference that gamers seem to have found in the Starfield Direct. Some claim to have found a reference to popular gamerSkyrim Grandma in the StarfieldDirect, with others wondering if she’s voicing the character herself. Skyrim Grandma has already denied having a direct role in the game, so right now it’s likely just a cool reference.
Starfieldremains one of the most anticipated games awaiting release at the moment, especially with the title being Bethesda’s first new IP since the originalElderScrolls. TherecentStarfieldDirect showcasebrought hype for the game to critical mass, and it’s not long now until gamers finally get their hands on the title. Only time will tell if this Nuka World reference actually has any substance or not, but it’s fun to speculate in the meantime.
Fallout 4is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in 2023.
