WhenDeadlinereported on the cast in March 2024, he wasn’t included in the announcement, and he hasn’t said he is returning. It’s possible that there wasn’t a potential storyline for him, but fans would definitely have enjoyed seeing him come back.
According toGeek Tyrant, Devon Sawa explained in an interview that he didn’t star in thehorror sequelFinal Destination 2because “It just didn’t work out. I wasn’t in…I just wasn’t really capable of working. Then I took some time out of the business.” He also said, “My agents talked to the producers. They ended up discussing going a different way. Maybe I thought I’d come back for the third, but then I never… it just didn’t work out.”
Sawa said:
“There was no hard feelings with anybody. I’ve seen every single movie since I went to a couple of the premieres. They’re great films. I’m very happy for them.”

Several characters survive death and then die in intense and strange ways throughout the story. While there might be otherhorror franchises with more influence on the genre, theFinal Destinationmovies are pure fun andFinal Destination: Bloodlineswill likely be just as entertaining.
In 2021, Devon Sawa talked toEntertainment Weeklyabout possibly appearing in anotherFinal Destinationmovie. While it’s unclear if he still feels the same way, at the time he thought he might want to be in the franchise again. He said:
“I thought that ship had sailed. But I think seeing how they rebootedHalloween, I would be interested. I love that they redo the premise at the beginning — it’s always this one person having a premonition. I love to see these new cast members come and seeing their take on it.
