Final Fantasy 14just revealed that the release date for Patch 6.45 is right around the corner. This new content update, which includes new quests, a Criterion Dungeon, and an expansion to the Blue Mage job, goes live inFinal Fantasy 14on July 18.
In May,Final Fantasy 14released Patch 6.4, The Dark Throne. This update added tons of stuff to the game, including a continuation of the main scenario quest, the conclusion of the Pandaemonium raid, and an expansion of the Duty Support system throughStormblood.

Now,Final Fantasy 14is getting ready to roll out Patch 6.45, its next minor content update. This patch bridges the gap between 6.4 and 6.5 with tons of new activities, but one of the biggest features is theexpansion to the Blue Mage. The maximum level for this limited job is increasing to level 80, and will receive new quests to complete, plus spells and gear to collect. Once the patch goes live, players will find their Blue Mage log updated with new tasks and abilities from theShadowbringersexpansion.
This minorFinal Fantasy 14update is adding Mount Rokkon, its second Variant Dungeon. This casual, exploration-based instance will explore the lore of Hingashi, the mysterious island whereKugane is located inFinal Fantasy 14, alongside the East Aldenard Trading Company representative Hancock. Like its predecessor, The Sil’dihn Subterrane, Mount Rokkon will also have a Criterion Dungeon savage mode for hardcore players to challenge and earn unique rewards.
Fans of the hilarious questline can look forward to Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures, a continuation of the misadventures of the eponymous gentlemanly detective. Additionally, players can unlock the next stage of their Manderville Relic weapons, as they work alongsideFinal Fantasy 14’s Gold Saucerproprietor and expert goldsmith Godbert Manderville to craft the ultimate arms. Crafters and gatherers can also upgrade their Splendorous Tools via the questline featuring Mowen, Grenoldt, and his apprentice Chora-Zoi.
The firstFinal Fantasy 14Fan Festivalis right around the corner. The convention begins on July 28–just over a week after Patch 6.45 releases–and runs through July 29. Players can expect an announcement for the next expansion, as well as the first Live Letter from the Producer for Patch 6.5–the final major content update forEndwalker. Needless to say, fans of the critically-acclaimed MMORPG have plenty to look forward to in the next few weeks.
