Channeling these Eikons grants Clive anew tree of abilitiesand allows him to upgrade them so that they can be used in tandem with each tree. The right combination of abilities can provide a much smoother combo experience and create incredibly high damaging attacks that can melt bosses' and enemies' health bars into nothing.

With the wide array of Eikon abilities available, players should experiment with combining maybe once-overlooked abilities with new ones. Here are more of some overpowered Eikon combinations.

12Phoenix And Ramuh
For players who enjoy a spell caster role inFinal Fantasy 16, putting space between them and targets while casting catastrophic elemental abilities to completely obliterate enemies, Phoenix and Ramuh make a perfect pair.

The scorchingabilities of the Phoenix, such as Scarlet Cyclone and Flames of Rebirth, pair amazingly with Ramuh’s Thunderstorm and Lightning Rod. Together, both the Phoenix and Ramuh can turn a swarmed battlefield into a pot of smoldering ash.
11Odin And Bahamut
The long-range skills ofBahamut and the close combat abilities of Odinwill probably not be most players' first choice inFinal Fantasy 16; however, there are multiple abilities that pair excellently with these two Eikons. Utilizing the Dark Arm with the Satellite ability of Bahamut will make for a great stagger bar combo that can be chained for high damage.
In addition, the combination of Heaven’s Cloud or Dancing Steel will work toward amazing damage when paired with Bahamut’s Wings of Light. The two powerhouses of the Eikon available in the game can work excellently for staggering foes and disintegrating health bars.

10Phoenix And Shiva
Fire and Ice as a duo will always prove volatile, and the combination can be disastrous. However, Shiva and the Phoenix’s Eikon abilities complement each other quite well.

The mobility offered by both Eikons provides a wide birth of options for players who enjoy zipping around the battlefield while peppering enemies with fast attacks or wide-area effects. Linking cold snap and Ignition works brilliantly when an enemy is frozen, while at the same time, a perfectly timed heatwave can combo with Ice Age and completely overwhelm multiple targets.
9Garuda And Odin
In terms of Damage and Combo ability, the Odin Eikon stands as one of the most versatile inFinal Fantasy 16, but pairing Odin with another Eikon tree can prove to be difficult because of how its abilities work. However, Garuda is a highly underrated Eikon tree that can add some spice to Odin’s sharp blade.

Gruda’s Rooks Gambit and Deadly Embrace work beautifully with Odin’s Heavens Cloud for staggering enemies and piling on damage before they have a chance to react. The time-stop abilities that are granted by a perfect Rooks Gambit can lead straight into a Dancing Steel.
8Garuda And Phoenix
Garuda and the Phoenix are two of the earliest ability trees unlocked inFinal Fantasy 16’s story. Clive has already been closely attuned to the abilities of the Phoenix having access to Phoenix Shift and Heatwave attacks.
Garuda comes later in the story but grants Clive the ability to reign enemies in thanks to a grapple and even avoid attacks that trigger a very damaging counter. Thanks to the innate combos of the Phoenix Eikon tree, many of the attacks send enemies flying. Utilizing these attacks with the Garuda tree and its grapple ability will allow further extensions of combos.

7Phoenix And Bahamut
It is safe to say that players will utilize the Phoenix tree the most to where it will become second nature with the base combat in the game. Once players venture far enough and unlock the tree of Bahamut, at first, it may be very polarizing due to it being predominately ranged abilities.
However, the Phoenix Eikon allows for closing in on enemies quickly and even has a few ranged options of its own. The Satellite ability, paired with action combos and Rising Flames, can lead to decimating an enemy stagger bar.

6Titan And Odin
Titan and Odin are two of the strongest and most useful Eikon classes inFinal Fantasy 16. Thanks to Titan having an innate counter that leads to massive stagger damage and a time stop, players can constantly use this to disrupt enemy offensives. The Odin Eikon class also has a time-stop ability but must first make contact to initiate.

Using the Titan Raging Fists counter to reach an enemy’s mid-way stagger point will create an opportunity to use the stun to land Dancing Steel which will lead to even more stagger damage and the filling of theZanketsu barfor when the enemy is fully staggered.
5Shiva And Titan
Shiva and Titan may not be the obvious choice when considering Eikon’s abilities that complement each other. Still, thanks tothe complexity ofFinal Fantasy 16’s combat, it’s very possible to create chemistry with multiple abilities from both trees.
Shiva is a perfect Eikon tree for crowd control thanks to her ability Cold Snap, which on top of granting Clive additional maneuverability, can permafreeze minor targets. Freezing targets will set them up perfectly for some of Titan’s most damaging abilities, such as Wind Up and Earthen Fury.

4Garuda And Titan
Garuda and Titan have abilities that seem like a match made in heaven; with Garuda grappling and Titan’s charge abilities, players can guarantee connections with some of Titan’s slower-hitting abilities for massive damage. What’s unique about Garuda’s Deadly Embrace is that when upgraded and executed in the air, it lifts Clive higher into the air while attacking with one of Garuda’s Claws.
Casting this ability twice will raise Clive high enough in the air to combo withthe air version of Upheaval, which can deal massive damage to a stunned target waiting below.

3Odin And Shiva
Odin is one of the final Eikon trees unlocked inFinal Fantasy 16’s story and also one of the most deadly, granting Clive a completely new combo route and additional mobility. Shiva’s Ice Age ability is excellent for knocking targets up or extending combo with basic attacks.

Utilizing Shiva’s Cold Snap, Odin’s Rift Slip, or Heaven’s Cloud can lead to long-winded combos with incredible will damage. Players can interchange multiple abilities with Odin and Shiva and have a multitude of options with whatever main Eikon tree is chosen.
