A former Xbox exclusive,Naraka: Bladepoint, is now available on the PS5 as a free-to-play game.Naraka: Bladepointis an up to 60-player PvP battle royal gamethat’s cross-platform, so PlayStation owners, Xbox fans, and PC players can all jump into the action at the same time.

Naraka: Bladepointis a game that puts a spin on the typical battle royal experience. This title is one of few melee-focused battle royal games in the genre, trading in the typical rifles and machine guns for swords and spears. The gameplay focuses heavily on combos and parries, challenging the player to outsmart their opponent rather than take them on with brute force. The gameplay also features wall running, grappling hooks, and other parkour abilities in order to traverse the vast world.Naraka: Bladepointhas some notable side content as well, including solo campaigns for when players are tired of playing the PvP mode.

NetEase Games is celebratingNaraka: Bladepoint’s two-year anniversaryby releasing the title on PS4 and PS5 as a free-to-play game. With over 20 million players already engaging with the former Xbox exclusive, there’s a good chance that the player base for the game could possibly double now that the game is available for PlayStation owners. Also part of the two-year anniversary, veteran players of the game can now claim special bonuses, including the Viper Ning outfit.

Naraka: Bladepointis also available on Game Pass, perhaps the biggest reason for the game crossing the 20 million unique player mark. Currently, Game Pass is promoting the Deluxe Edition of the game under the Recently Added tab on the app. The Deluxe Edition ofNaraka: Bladepointincludes 300 hero coins, the Dual Blades Lacerator skin, the exclusive Spear skin, and ten immortal treasures.

One of the most exciting details about the two-year anniversary ofthe game is the announcement of a crossover betweenNaraka: Bladepointand theNeiRseries.NieR ReplicantandNier: Automataare two cult-classic games with dedicated fanbases, and this crossover could bring more people on board with the melee-based battle royale. The short teaser trailer released by NetEase doesn’t reveal much about the crossover, except that 2B, a fan favorite of theNieRseries, will be involved in some way. There’s little doubt that fans of the NieR series have their fingers crossed that 2B will be a playable character and that other favorites, such as 9S, A2, and Kaine make an appearance.
