Summary

AFortniteplayer has made an open-world map concept that includes most of the popular points of interest. With 27 Seasons spread across 4 Chapters,Fortnitehas had many interesting locations, and this map combines areas from each map update.

Fortnitebegan with Save the Worldand was eventually morphed into the popular battle royale that it is today. From the beginning, there have been memorable POIs and items that have been praised by the community. Tilted Towers has long been hailed as the fan favorite, but there are others like Dusty Depot, Retail Row, and The Agency that have been popular drops as well. The battle royale map hasn’t grown in size significantly over the years, making the amount of locations Epic Games can add limited. This player has designed a concept of what an open-world with nearly all of the locations could look like.

Reddit user Kitchen-Bird382 has made a map of aFortniteopen world that spreads across a vast distance. The open world includes locations fromeachFortniteseasonincluding Pleasant Park, Holly Hedges, and Weeping Woods. It notably features all the cities that have been included in the battle royale so far. Tilted Towers is to the west, Mega City is to the east, and the center includes Mega Mall and Neo Tilted. The map also has the Volcano from Season 8, the Reality Tree from Chapter 3 Season 3, and the Ice King’s throne on Polar Peak. The open world spreads across multiple biomes which could also change gameplay as ice and mud add a boost to sliding.

Although Kitchen-Bird382’s open-world concept includes most of the POIs, it’s still missing a handful. Among the absent areas are Believer Beach, Loot Lake, and Steamy Stacks.FortniteChapter 2 Season 4is notably underrepresented, as none of the POIs unique to that Season are present. There are multiple mountains on the unique map, giving fans an idea of its scale. The widely disliked Coral Castle is also missing from the Reddit user’s open-world concept. Some locations that were typically green with trees and hedges are in the snowy portion of the map like Greasy Grove, Misty Meadows, and Catty Corner.

WithFortniteset to begin a new Seasonnext week, it’s possible that some of these locations return on the new map. While the battle royale map may never get this big, Kitchen-Bird382’s open-world concept could attract many players if fully realized. Because Epic Games continues to update the game regularly, the map could be much larger than it currently is one day.
