Summary
Even those who have never played the game know thatFortniteis unmatched when it comes to collaborations. A massive Marvel event has not stopped it from working with competitor DC on a number of cosmetics, with big franchises like Star Wars also represented heavily in addition to video game team-ups likeDestiny 2,God of War, andHalo. Real people have been featured in the game as well, ranging from big-time celebrities like The Rock to streamers like Ninja. Musicians have also appeared, with Travis Scott and Ariana Grande performing in-game while also having skins available to purchase. Soon, Eminem will be joining the list of artists gamers can play as inFortnite.
A self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts due to the heavily-memed line from the song “Tone Deaf” about playingFortnitewith someone’s grandma, as well as a logical next step after players could listen toCurtain Call 2 inFortnite’s vehiclesfor a time, players can look forward to Eminem content in the near future. Based on leaks from the reputable @HYPEX and other sources, which were covered byDexerto, players will be able to don a few different Eminem looks at the end of Chapter 4. For casual fans of the Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer, though, the history behind the styles may require a bit of extra explanation.

What Are Eminem’s Skin Styles Referencing?
Default Style - Classic Eminem
The default look for Eminem’s skin depicts the rapper in a hoody with a gold chain and a white T-shirt that has “Shady” written across it, which is an outfit many could expect to see him wearing in real life. However, Epic Games made the interesting decision to give the base version ofMarshall Mathershis iconic bleached hair as opposed to his modern look. While the blonde version of Eminem from the late 90’s and early 2000’s (as well as a brief stint in 2014 when promotingThe Marshall Mathers LP 2) is iconic, today the rapper sports his natural black hair and a short beard. Fortunately, fans of his modern appearance are also in luck.
A Rap Boy skin style will also be coming to the game, which is a fun reference to the “Without Me” music video. It features Eminem in an outfit clearly inspired by Robin from DC.

Suit and Hat Style - Music to Be Murdered By
While the sight of Eminem in a suit and fedora may seem a bit odd to those who are used to seeing him with his hood up or with a baseball cap on, fans of his newer music should recognize this ensemble instantly. Worn on the covers and in the promotional material of his most recent albums,Music to be Murdered Byand Music to beMurdered By Side B, this outfit is meant to suit the Alfred Hitchcock-inspired vibe of the album. Eminem can be seen holding up a gun in the leaked image of this skin, and perhaps fans will get to use his axe from the promotional material as a harvesting tool. A Magmaskin stylewill be included for this design, with yellow eyes and fiery cracks on his skin, and both versions give him his current facial hair and hair color.
AlongsideFortnite’s Eminem skins, the highest-selling rapper of all time will be holding a concert within the free-to-play title. While the explicit content in a lot of his music means that several songs are unlikely to make the cut, his big radio hits like “Lose Yourself,” “Not Afraid,” “Love The Way You Lie,” “The Monster,” and so on will likely show up.
Hockey Mask Style - Slim Shady
When Eminem fans think of Slim Shady, a few looks likely come to mind. For songs like “Without Me” or “My Name Is,” the default blonde look will work fine. However, when thinking of how the Slim Shady character may look in more disturbing tracks like “I’m Back” or the entirety ofRelapse, the simple blonde aesthetic is not enough. Enter the masked variant of the basic skin, which sees Eminem lifting up his hood and putting a gray hockey mask on his face that is complete with some glowing orange eyes. Though it may not be as special as a separate Slim Shady skin with overalls and a basic white hockey mask like what he wore on the Anger Management tour,Epic Gamesletting players become a version of Slim Shady is still a neat bonus.
PerhapsFortnitewill attempt to accomplish something similar to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with these three skins, as the concert could utilize all of them to show each stage of Marshall Mathers' career. While featuring songs and level designs that suit the Slim Shady vibe will be a difficult task for a family-friendly game, perhapsFortnite’s age restrictionscould be temporarily brought back to limit access to the concert. Regardless, fans can look forward to seeing these leaked Eminem skins within the concert and in their regular matches afterward.
