4Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoningisa game that had a beautiful world with engaging fantasy elementsthat should’ve taken off in every way. However, upon release, almost no one played this highly underrated title, which is a shame sinceKingdoms of Amalurhad many good things going for it in both the story and gameplay departments.
Thankfully, word-of-mouth allowed this title to become quite popular, receiving an updated re-release almost a decade after its launch along with a new expansion pack soon after. While players had issues with the quality of theFateswornDLC, it still served as a great excuse to jump into the world of Kingdoms of Amalur once again.
3Furi
Furiisa boss rush title that is an absolute blast to play through, featuring a wealth of challenging encounters where players must memorize a boss' pattern before trying to take them out in high-octane battles that combine fast-paced action with bullet-hell gameplay. The title can take a while to get used to, but the level of control players have over the rider should definitely be praised.

Following many years after its release, the Game Bakers surprised everyone by releasing a piece of DLC for the game called the Onnamusha Rider, which allowed players to go through the game with a different version of the protagonist who could switch between fast and slow stances. It’s a notable change to the gameplay that fans will definitely have a great time with!
2Katana Zero
A sidescrolling action game where death can arrive at a moment’s notice,Katana Zerois an excellent action gamethat fans of innovative indie titles should definitely check out. There’s something quite cathartic about mowing down enemies in a room where players were struggling over and over again before finally succeeding after an umpteenth attempt.
Katana Zerois slated to get a free piece of DLC sometime soon, which is why so many fans were surprised that the game’s developer released an April Fool’s update called Katana Hero that turned the dialogue of the game into something completely nonsensical yet hilarious at the same time. It also changes some aspects of the game, including a reskin of the true final boss which is a treat to witness in every way!
1Superhot VR
Superhot VRis a great way to experience the brilliant gameplay of this title in the immersive medium of virtual reality. The game may be short, but the levels are still a blast to play through in every way. However, unlike most other updates that generally improve the title,Superhot VR’s update actively removed content from the game that was viewed as too disturbing.
While the reasoning behind these changes may be admirable, many fans hated the idea of these changes being mandatory instead of just giving an option to players that would help remove any references to self-harm or suicide. The latter would’ve been a simpler solution that catered to everyone’s interests, but the developer’s approach to this situation just ended up angering the majority of its player base instead.
