Kazuha, Klee, and Weapon Banners
It wouldn’t bea newGenshin Impactupdatewithout new character banners and it appears that Kazuha and Klee will be appearing as the limited characters during the duration of the patch. Kazuha is a brand new Sword user that wields the Anemo element which allows him to buff his team’s elemental reactions and offer crowd-control for enemies. Although little is known about him, he will be getting his own Archon questline and as part of Beidou’s Crux Fleet, will be important in helping the player find a way into Inazuma.
On the other hand, Klee is a returning Pyro catalyst user who will be abig part ofGenshin Impact’snewest events. A strong main DPS character, Klee’s abilities and damage capabilities make her one of the strongest units in the game. While Klee is probably not going to get a storyline chapter as she already appeared in the main story, she will have a prominent role in the new seasonal event as a mysterious Dodo-King threatens to steal Dodoco.

As always, weapon banners will be appearing alongside the character banners inGenshin Impactand it looks like there will be new weapons added to to the game as well. The first weapon will be a four-star bow called the Mitternachts Waltz while the second weapon appears to be a five-star sword called the Freedom-Sworn. However, no information about their ascension materials or stats were revealed during the livestream soGenshin Impactplayers will likely have to wait for more informationcloser to the 1.6 release date.
Genshin Impact’s Midsummer Island Adventure
The1.6 update forGenshin Impactwill also be bringing a number of new events and enemies as well. The main seasonal event is called the Midsummer Island Adventure which will include four different stages with unique gameplay mechanics. The first stage has players control a Waverider boat while destroying enemy towers with cannon fire as well as close combat. Players must also navigate around whirlpools and deal with barriers around enemy towers. The second stage is a race that mixes together the boat mechanics together with gliding as players collect insignias.
The third stage features a new battle against the Maguu Kenki, an Inazuma-styled enemy that looks like a samurai. Ranged attacks are ineffective against Maguu Kenki and it can summon phantoms to deal Anemo or Cryo damage. The final stage has players clear out enemy encampments with different Harpastum bombs. As always, players will be rewarded with different currency for completing the stages and they can exchange these for rewards in the event shop. Theevent shop for the Midsummer Island Adventurewill include Dodoco Tales, the new four-star catalyst designed for Klee and a trove for weapon prototypes.

New Genshin Impact Challenges
Aside from the Midsummer Island Adventure event, the 1.6 update forGenshin Impactwill also include some new challenges. The first is called “Kaboomball Kombat” where players must defeat Dodo fortresses. These fortresses will shoot Kaboomballs at the user and players must use a Dodo Guard to reflect the projectiles back at the fortress. The challenge can be played co-op with twoGenshin Impactplayers and currency earned can be exchanged for materials and an exclusive event namecard.
The second event is called “Never-Ending Battle” where players must defeat both normal and Berserker enemies.Genshin Impactplayers will have the ability to gain buffsby destroying targets called Momentum Discs and will fight their way through waves of enemies to get a high score. Much like the other event challenges, clearing “Never-Ending Battle” will reward players with rewards like Primogems, ascension materials, and Mora.

Finally, there will be a new domain called “Legend of the Vagabond” where players must fight different bosses across seven challenges. Similar to previous challenges,Genshin Impactplayers will select their own difficulty levelby choosing the conditions they want to fight the bosses in. Adding more challenges will result in a higher score and as always, rewards will be available depending on the score achieved over the course of the event. The Oceanid, Primo Geovishap and the new Maguu Kenki appear to be part of this event so players will likely encounter these bosses during the challenge.
Alternate Outfits in Genshin Impact
Rumors and leaks regarding alternate outfits have floated around for a while but the latestGenshin Impactlivestream confirmed that players will finally be able to acquire different outfitsfor their characters. Following the summer theme of the Midsummer Island Adventure event, Jean and Barbara will be receiving alternate outfits for the first time inGenshin Impact.
DuringGenshin Impact’s1.6 events, players will have the opportunity to acquire Barabara’s alternate outfit, “Summertime Sparkle” by collecting a number of Echoing Conches. However, players who miss the event won’t need to worry as “Summertime Sparkle” will be made available in the shop for 1680 Genesis crystals. On the other hand, Jean’s alternate outfit “Sea Breeze Dandelion” will be available for purchase in the shop for a discounted price of 1350 Genesis crystals during the 1.6 event. However, this price will revert to 1680 Genesis crystals once the event ends. As Genesis crystals are only sold in packs with designated amounts, players will likely have to spend $29.99 USD to purchase the 1980 pack of Genesis crystals if they want to grab Jean’s outfit.

Housing System Addition
The housing system will also incorporate a change to allow players' characters to reside in the Serenitea Pot as well. Characters that are in the realm will gain character companionship experience over time and the rate will increase with a player’s Adeptal Energy rank. Characters residing in the realm will give gifts to the player and will also have special dialogue. Considering the difficulty in gaining companionship experience with only four characters at a time, this will hopefullyhelpGenshin Impactplayers acquire their characters' namecardsa little faster.
