Reddit user tkyaha has shared twoGenshin Impact-themed shoplifter warnings they found in a store that sells the game’s official merchandise. The first sign that says “If you steal, you will lose your 50/50 every single banner” is related to theGenshin Impact’s gacha systemwhich allows players to spend Primogems in order to get a set of limited characters that are featured on the banner. Every banner in the game features one limited five-star and three four-star characters. These banners have a 90-wish pity system which guarantees a five-star character within 90 wishes, however, there is a 50/50 chance that the five-star drop features one of the six characters from the less popular Standard Banner, which is the mechanic the sign refers to.
Players claim that HoYoverse needs to rework the way these banner mechanics work considering that they can hardly find any use for most of the Standard Banner characters in their team composition. The decision to expand the character pool by adding the new Dendro user Tighnari is a step in the right direction, but they still need to make some major improvements. A big part of the community claims that they are fine withgetting a Standard Banner character, but they want the option to choose which one it is.
At the moment, it’s almost impossible to level up constellations for one of those six characters since players have a 16.7% chance of getting the desired drop on that banner. The second “I’m judging you if you plan to steal” sign is related to a scene that often appears in the game’s dialogs in which Lumine and Aether judge other charactersincluding their loyal companion Paimon.
A big part of the community claims that the recent Sumeru region took the game’s storyline to another level by making it much darker which was welcomed by the majority of the community. In the upcomingGenshin Impactupdate 3.2, players will have to fight a huge boss to free Sumeru’s Dendro Archon.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
