Genshin Impactis filled with various kinds of enemies. These come in several categories, such as Common Enemies, Elite Enemies, World Boss, and Weekly Boss.Genshin Impactconstantly releases new enemies and bosses along with the new version.
Some of these bosses are easy to beat. Others, not so much. Some can bring horror even to late-game players, due to how hard they hit and how much they move. To help guide players in their adventure, here are some examples of thehardest bosses inGenshin Impactthat they should be sure to prepare for.

Not only Normal Enemies like the underwater creatures, but World Boss and Weekly Boss are now more abundant as well. Therefore, this list is updated to include some of the hardest additions, like the Scaramouche Weekly Boss, the elusive ASIMON, and the not-so-robotic Icewind Suite.
18Geo Hypostasis
There are sevenHypostasis inGenshin Impact, which means one of every element is available. However, originally, there were three Hypostasis: Anemo, Geo, and Electro. Geo Hypostasis is the most annoying element of the original three since it protects itself with aBasalt Pillar.
To deal damage, players will have to destroy these pillars.This will bring the Hypostasis down from high ground, making it vulnerable to attacks. Players can also use ranged characters to try and gain the upper hand. Catalyst users can work, but they mostly will aim at the pillars. Instead, use a bow character that focuses on charged attack for damage, likeGanyu.
17Cryo Regisvine
This large version of Whopperflower is a hassle in the early game. Unlike its Pyro counterpart, Cryo Regisvine is more aggressive with its attacks. If players take too long in killing the boss, the creature will spread Cryo all over the arena, causing damage and debuffs for the players.
To deal with it effectively, players will have to break its Cryo core first.To do so, players should use Pyro, since it’s the most effective element to break Cryo shields. After the Cryo Regisvine falls, players can finally deal proper damage to kill the boss quickly.
16Pyro Hypostasis
Pyro Hypostasis is the fourth Hypostasis boss inGenshin Impact. This boss is released inGenshin Impact2.0, but there’s a minor change in version 2.1. Previously, the window to extinguish Fire Seeds was very short, but it’s later extended.
To defeat the Pyro Hypostasis, players have to first break its Pyro shield.Hydro Catalyst users likeMonaandBarbaracan do this job perfectly. After that, it’s the same drill as the other Hypostasis: Attack when the core is revealed. However, there’s one important thing to note about this enemy. Unlike other Hypostasis that has a “pre-death” phase, Pyro Hypostasis has a phase to regain the Pyro shield. In this phase, players have to quickly extinguish the Fire Seeds with one Hydro attack.
15Perpetual Mechanical Array
Perpetual Mechanical Array is an automaton boss that resides in Inazuma. The battle against this boss is actually simple, but if players don’t understandhow to beat the Perpetual Mechanical Array inGenshin Impact,then the task can become grueling.
To beat the PMA, players have to keep attacking the boss. Eventually, at around 30% HP, the enemy will enter a defensive state, where the automaton splits into smaller robots, andplayers have to defeat the marked enemy. Once the marked robot is defeated, the Perpetual Mechanical Array will enter a weakened state and players can unleash their best hits to quickly finish the boss.
14Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network
Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network, usually abbreviated as ASIMON, is a boss in the desert ofGenshin ImpactSumeru. Fighting this boss is quite easy until it enters itsinvisibilitystate. Since the boss isinvisible, and not invincible, there are three ways people can remove the invisibility:
This boss is mostly easy, but it gets annoying in content like Spiral Abyss as it forces people to have at least one Electro character if they wish to complete the challenge quickly.
13Iniquitous Baptist
Iniquitous Baptist inGenshin Impactis an Abyss Lector-like enemy, but unlike the Abyss Lector and Abyss Herald, Iniquitous Baptist can manipulate multiple elements. When fighting this boss,players must bring a counter to three out of four possible elementsthe boss will bear (this can be seen from the color that floats around the arena before the battle starts). Due to the various attributes the boss has, it can be tough for people who don’t have characters of various Visions.
Fortunately, people can always bring elements that work against multiple attributes. For instance,Dendrocan counter bothElectro and Hydroswiftly, whilePyrohelps againstCryo and Electro.
12Thunder Manifestation
Released in version 2.1, players have to go through a long quest tounlock Thunder Manifestation inGenshin Impact. Although sharing a resemblance with Qingce’s Oceanid, Thunder Manifestation is by no means a similar creature. It is said that the one on Amakumo Peak was created by Kanna Kapatcir’s resentment.
There’s no special method to defeat this Electro creature, but its attacks are one of the hardest ones to avoid. This enemy would also teleport constantly, making it hard to land precious hits on it. Tobeat Thunder Manifestation inGenshin Impact, it’s highly recommended to use units that have long-ranged attacks. Additionally, Electro characters are also useless against it as Thunder Manifestation is immune to Electro.
11Maguu Kenki
Maguu Kenki is a humanoid swordsman. It’s a machine that malfunctioned and lost control. Previously, this boss was available in the Golden Apple Archipelago inGenshin Impact1.6. However, after the island is no longer available, Maguu Kenki is now available in Inazuma.
To defeat Maguu Kenki, players have to be aware of all his moves.Before he lunges his attacks, he will enter a stance. Maguu Kenki also summons a phantom over time, so players need to keep their eyes on the real Maguu Kenki. Moreover,this boss also has a lot of i-frame where he’ll be invulnerable to any attack.
10Dvalin
The"Stormterror" Dvalin is the first weekly bossplayers will encounter. A lot of players struggle with this fight for two reasons. They don’t know how to break his shield, and they don’t know how to attack the “Bloodclot”, the purple item that’s corrupting Dvalin.
To remove Dvalin’s shield, players can either shoot him in the air with a bow character or wait until he does a “bite” and “breath” move.He briefly lands when he bites and also lands for a few seconds when he breathes. Players can attackDvalin’s Clawduring this time to break his shield. Afterward, players can climb Dvalin’s neck after he falls, and attack the Bloodclot using melee attacks.
9Primo Geovishap
Primo Geovishap is a new World Boss introduced inGenshin Impact1.3. This creature is the mature version of Geovishaps. It is larger and more powerful, though it has one major weakness.
Toeasily defeat the Primo Geovishap, players must bring a shielder to their team.When the boss performs the move “Primordial Shower”, a prompt will appear to tell players to put up their shield. If the shield is strong enough to withstand the attack, the boss takes damage instead of the players. Furthermore, if the shield element matches the creature’s element (or if it’s Geo), the damage Primo Geovishap takes will be even higher.
