The first concrete description of Natlan came from Neuvillette after the conclusion of Fontaine’s Archon Quests. He described the Pyro Nation as being known for two things: war and dragons. The latter will seemingly play a role as Natlan’s main exploration feature, with draconicmounts coming toGenshin Impactin Version 5.0.
Genshin Impact’s Columbina May Not Be a Seelie After All
With Fontaine’s patch cycle coming to a close,Genshin Impactplayers have been getting an influx of information concerning the region of Natlan, its characters, and approach to open world content. Curiously, anew leak by Team Mewhints that Columbina isn’t a Seelie, as speculated by fans since her first appearance in A Winter Night’s Lazzo, but rather that she is a blessed race, with a direct link to the gods of Natlan. The term “blessed race” compares her to existingGenshin Impactcharacters such as Yae Mikoor the Aranara, thus implying that her species was likely created by the previous Pyro Archon.
It should be noted that the leak, like others, should be taken with a grain of salt. The only thing that players can feasibly conclude from the new information is that Columbina will feature in Natlan’s Archon Quest, and that her species is geographically tied to Natlan. After all,Xbalanque inGenshin Impactis heavily rumored to be one of the Dragon Sovereigns, and they are considered to be the original deities whose divine authority was usurped by the Archons.
However, Columbina won’t be the only Fatui Harbinger to make an appearance in Natlan, as Capitano is all but guaranteed to be the primary antagonist of the region. Mentioned by Neuvillette in Version 4.2, Capitano wages war on the battlefields of Natlan, and manyGenshin Impactplayers are hoping that he will join the cast of playable characters in the near future. Measuring up to the popularity ofArlecchino inGenshin Impactwill be a tall task for Columbina and Capitano, but HoYoverse has proven more than capable of introducing interesting characters even years afterGenshin Impact’s initial launch.
