AGenshin Impactfan has found a mysterious tunnel that might lead to one of Teyvat’s next major regions. There are seven main nations in the game and only four are currently explorable with Sumeru being the most recent addition. The ongoing update 3.4 has introduced a new Sumeru desert placed in the northern part of the nation.
Since its arrival back inGenshin Impact3.0, Sumeru has become the fan-favorite region for many players as it took the game’s exploration experience to the next level. It also introduced the long-awaited Dendro element which had a huge impact on the game’s character meta.

Reddit user StupidPencil has shared an interesting screenshot showing a new tunnel that can be found in a subregion named The Sands of Three Canals, which is part of the new Sumeru desert expansion. At the end of a large cave, Travelers can see a new tunnel with a very bright light at the end. However, if they try to enter the tunnel, Paimon will appear on the screen to make them turn back. Many fans theorize that this tunnel could lead to anew major region inGenshin Impactnamed Natlan, the home of the Pyro Archon Murata. Previous leaks have revealed that the region is apparently based on pre-Columbian America with additional influences of Spanish culture.
At the moment, there is not a lot of information about the Pyro nation which is the last region that was mentioned in the game’s storyline. Natlan is also the only region in the game that does not feature any NPCs and many fans expect it to be filled with various volcanoes to fit its symbolic Pyro element. Players will probably have to wait for a long time to step foot in Natlan as recent leaks revealed thatthe Hydro nation Fontaine is the next major regionthat will arrive to the game.
Over the last couple of weeks, multiple leaks have already revealed the models of at least10 new characters that will appear in Fontaine, including the Hydro Archon Focalors whose design could be inspired by Seele, a popularHonkai Impact 3rdcharacter. Even though HoYoverse is yet to confirm its exact location, players can expect Fontaine to be placed west of the Liyue nation.
Other leakers have recently stated thatMondstadt could see an expansion before Fontaine’s official arrival. The current version of Mondstadt apparently represents only around 60% of the whole region and fans hope that the new expansion could finally include Varka, the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius.
