Developer HoYoverse has confirmed that the upcomingGenshin Impactupdate 3.0 will introduce three new characters, two of which have the ability to control the new Dendro element. Only one of those characters will have a higher five-star rarity which means that there will be additional banner re-runs in the update.
The officialGenshin ImpactYouTube channel has finally revealed the character teaser for the new bow user Tighnari. He is a young researcher who is well-versed in botany, and he serves as a Forest Watcher of the Avidya Forest.

Tighnari’s name is apparently based on a popular Arab scientist named Al-Tighnari and previous Sumeru teasers have confirmed that the new region is based on Southwest Asia. Tighnari has one of the most special character designs in the game, and he can be recognized by his long tail and large ears. He is confirmed to be the game’s first five-star Dendro character who will introduce the Traveler to the new major region. According to the recentGeshin Impactversion 3.0 live stream event, Tighnari will probably be a newGenshin ImpactDPS character with a unique mechanic on his Charged Attack which has will have two levels.
His Level 2 Charged Attack will generate an effect called Clusterbloom Arrows that will track nearby opponents upon a hit. His elemental skill is called Vijnana-Phala Mine which creates a field that taunts enemies and increases the speed of his Charged Attack. When it comes toTighnari’s constellation levels, players should probably try to get him to C2 as it grants a significant Dendro damage buff.
Tighnari’s elemental burst, Fashiner’s Tanglevine Shaft, fires numerous Tanglevine Shafts that track opponents dealing Dendro damage in the process. According to recent beta leaks, Tighnari’s damage output will scale with Elemental Mastery which might become one of the most important stats in the upcoming months as many new elemental reactions rely on this stat. Even though he is a brandnewGenshin Impactcharacter, a big part of the community claims that they will most likely skip his banner.
This is due to HoYoverse’s announcement thatTighnari will be joining the Standard BanneronceGenshin ImpactVersion 3.0 ends. The live stream has confirmed that Tighnari will appear alongside the Geo Archon Zhongli on the first banner for the next update. Recent leaks have confirmed that they will be joined by three four-star characters: Collei, Diona and Fischl.
Genshin Impactis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
