AGod of WarRagnarokplayer was left puzzled when King Hrolf Kraki fell through the ground, vanishing until they were defeated by geometry. GivenGod of War Ragnarok’sadmirable technical performance, glitches and bugs have been rare occurrences that generate significant interest when they happen to be captured.

Functioning similarly to the Valkyries that feature in its predecessor,God of War Ragnarok’s Berserkers are a series of challenging confrontationsfor Kratos and his companions to test themselves against as Ragnarok approaches. Once players have reached a certain point in the narrative they can interact with curious gravestones scattered around the realms, revealing spirits terrorizing the region they inhabit. Each of the twelve fights teaches Kratos a different mechanic, helpful knowledge when it comes time to face the King to whom their loyalty is pledged.

A video posted by BlueShooter7515 shows Kratos embroiled in a tense skirmish with the Berserker King. However, after using the Draupnir Spear to knock Hrolf Kraki out of the air, the malevolent spirit vanishes as soon as the player activates Kratos' equipped hilt. Kraki falls through Midgard, failing to reappear for approximately ten seconds before he is automatically killed, prompting Mimir to thank Kratos.

Although the Draupnir Spear is a powerful addition to the God of War’s arsenal, it most certainly cannot drag an enemy through the ground to their demise. The Hilt of Tyrfing, seemingly the catalyst for Kraki’s disappearance, sacrifices health to inflict damage proportional to the amount of Health lost and unleashes a devastating shockwave against foes but, just like Kratos' new spear, is not supposed to break the game.God of War Ragnarokhas very few glitches compared to the majority of recent triple-A releases, making them more entertaining than frustrating whenever they appear, such asTyr getting caught up in the architecture of Sindri’s house.

Comments joked that it was the player’sinvestment into Luck that had caused the Berserker King to glitchand considered them fortunate, but others claimed that they had merely been cheated out of a satisfying victory. Fortunately,God of War Ragnarokfeatures a chest that effectively operates as a lost-and-found collection, meaning that even though the loot did not drop, the player would have still been able to acquire it. However, that was not necessary as they reloaded a save and took pleasure in ending the Berserker King’s threat without having the kill stolen.

God of War Ragnarokis available now for PS4 and PS5.
