Code Veinis a great game, but it is unforgiving. Players have a limited selection of healing items inCode Vein; the game mechanic differs from industry standards. Keeping this in mind, it should not come as a surprise that players cannot progress in the story.

While healing is tricky inCode Vein, this guide will give players everything they need to heal easily. Additionally, this guide will provide other useful tidbits that are largely ignored.

How to Heal in Code Vein

Code Veingives players four ways to heal, which are as follows:

1. Regeneration

The most basic form of healing is possible via Regeneration. Regeneration works quite similarly to theEstus Flask from Dark Souls. Upon arriving at a bonfire, referred to as a Mistle, the Regeneration charges are replenished, and this also occurs after defeating a Greater Lost. Other factors to keep in mind regarding Regeneration are as follows:

2. Regen Inducers

Regen Inducers are a one-time consumable that offers more healing than Regeneration. Since Regen Inducers do not replenish like Regeneration, it is a given that the item is not easily available. For this reason, players are advised to only use Regen Inducers as a last resort, especially during crucial boss fights, so they can heal quickly when all seems lost.

3. Gifts

Surprisingly, Gifts can be used to heal characters and teammates, but they have drawbacks. For example, if players use the Guardian Aid Gift with Astrea, they can heal their teammates but at the expense of their health.Players should use Gifts wiselyand pay close attention to the conditions that accompany them.

4. Mistles

As mentioned earlier, Mistles are like bonfires from Dark Souls. Players can rest at Mistles using the surrounding blood bushes to heal their character. The best thing about Mistles is that they are completely free to use, but using them will cause all regular enemies to respawn.

Mistles may be free to use, but they are not common. Coming across a Mistle indicates the player will have to endure many hardships ahead.
