Resource collection is at the heart ofSkull and Bonesand will unlock a plethora of opportunities to improve your ship, customize your character, and build a terrifying arsenal to battle your foes. While most of these resources can be collected from your pride and joy itself, there are a few valuable items that will require you and two of your crew members to command a small boat. Aboard your dhow, you willbe able to hunt and fishas you partake in battles with some of the hostile wildlife that lurks in the Indian Ocean.

How to Hunt in Skull and Bones

Hunting is a relatively simple process, at least in theory, provided you adhere to the conditions thatSkull and Boneshas for being able to hunt. If you wish to embark on a trip to tackle some of the ferocious creatures below the surface, you will need tochange your ship to a dhow. This is the starting ship you use in the game and features only you as the captain and two members of the crew.

The hunting mechanics work exactly the same as the weapons do when aboardyour fully customizable ship inSkull and Bones. Because your dhow is not equipped with cannons and ballistics, you will instead use hunting spears as your weapons. To hunt animals, simply approach the beast you are targeting,aim the spear and throw as you would aim and fire cannons. Given you are using a spear against hostile wildlife, it will take several spears to bring your prey down, but the hunting spear you use is one of the manyupgradable toolsyou can enhance for better performance.

What Animals Can You Hunt In Skull and Bones?

In addition to the numerous factions that lurk in the seas inSkull and Bones, there are also various types of wildlife that won’t necessarily bother you unless you’re aboard your small makeshift boat you start the game with. This dhow will be available for the entirety of the game to revisit, so it is worth noting which animals will come at you and attack if you decide to downsize your vessel.
