Even as it approaches two years since the launch of thePlayStation 5, many are still finding it hard to get their hands on one of the elusive next-gen machines. As has been the case since the release of the newest gaming consoles, scalpers have been preventing many from getting a PS5, unless they are willing to pay a premium price. There are also widespreadchip shortages that could last until 2024 according to an Intel boss, affecting graphics cards, consoles, and other pieces of gaming hardware.
It’s fairly safe to say, then, that thePS5remains a tricky thing to get a hold of. For some who haven’t been lucky enough to purchase one yet, it can be even more frustrating to see a PS5 mistreated. Recently, a gamer spotted a console being stored upside down at a local internet cafe. Stuffed in a wooden cabinet, it’s clear to see that the disk drive is the wrong way around and that the PS5 has been placed incorrectly.

Some fans pointed out that, in fairness to the internet cafe where this unlucky PS5 is located, the disk drive wouldn’t be reachable were the console placed the right way up. Other commenters were less kind to the establishment, claiming that not only was the console placed incorrectly, but the cabinet it was in prevented proper air flow and looked as if it would collapse. There is also paper placed under the console, further restricting the air flow. Either way, it seems that this console probably isn’t running at thePS5’s optimum performance.
While some users pointed out the flaws in how the PS5 was kept at the internet cafe, others simply made jokes about its predicament. One commenter said that the PS5 must have done something really messed up to be locked upside down in a cabinet as punishment, while another tried to reassure people by joking that the console wasn’t upside down, but was just in Australia. Recently, another PlayStation was seen in a less-than-perfect state, when a damagedPlayStation at an airport resulted in a bomb disposal unitbeing called.
While it can be hoped that the PS5 at this internet cafe fall into a similar state of disrepair, it is still mildly infuriating for some fans to see such an elusive console treated poorly. On the other hand, next-gen console and graphic card stocks are slowly returning to normal, meaning that gamers will perhaps soon be able to lock their own next-gen machine in a cabinet if they wish. There’s even a rumor of anew PS5 Pro consolebeing launched soon.
