Inscryption’s first act is similar to a horror escape room. Players are locked in a room with a crazy game master named Leshy, and he forces players to either play hisdeck-building card gameor perish. Hidden in the room are various objects that will allow players to solve the puzzles, gain talking cards, and other additions to their decks. One of these puzzles is the Caged Wolf Statue.

The Caged Wolf Statue in Inscryption

When standing up, players will find the caged wolf statue next to the globe and human skull with the smoke puzzle on the other side. In order to release the wolf from its cage and solve the puzzle, players have to go through several steps first. These steps will most likely have already been completed by the player when they start to worry about the caged wolf; however, the list of these steps are:

The Caged Wolf Card

In theindie gameInscryption, the Caged Wolf card costs two blood to cast. It has no attack and 6 defense, and it cannot be sacrificed. Place it in a spot on the board where it will take a lot of damage.

When the card finally hits zero life, the room will shake.

A loud noise will rattle everything on the table for a split second, then the Caged Wolf Card will turn into a regular wolf. Leshy will say “What was that?”

Now complete the card battle, then get up from the table once the map is unrolled. The Cage will be gone from the caged wolf statue, and players can pick it up and place it next to the squirrel statue. This will unlock the knife, which players will need to continue to progress the story and solve theclock puzzle inInscryption.
