Summary
Jujutsu Kaisenfinally returns after a two-week break and fans are incredibly excited to see the story continue. In the previous chapter, it was made clear that the fight between Sukuna and Kashimo was now over.
This clash was incredibly exciting for the fans and even though Kashimo put up a good fight, he was no match for Sukuna once he tapped into the power of his true form.Yuji and Higuruma jumped on the battlefieldimmediately after, however, surprisingly, this week’s chapter ofJJKdid not focus on these two characters at all. Instead, according toJujutsu Kaisen239 leaks, The focus has now shifted to none other than Kenjaku.
Kenjaku On The Move
The entirety ofJJKchapter 239 is focused on Kenjaku. Fans were absolutely waiting for the fight between Yuji and Sukuna to continue. This is a fight that fans have waited ages for as nearly every fan knew that the one to take down Sukuna is going to be none other than Yuji. However, now, things are very different. The story has decided to shift away from the events of the main battle, which is disappointing to quite a lot of the fans. It was fully expected for the story to focus on the events of the main battle andSukuna being pushed into a corner by Higuruma and Yuji once again.
Sadly, that was not to be as the chapter begins as well as ends with Kenjaku. Right at the beginning of the chapter, Kenjaku is seen engaging in combat inJujutsu Kaisenchapter 239. He was approached by a woman whom he then attacked with a jellyfish curse. This woman, who tried to attack Kenjaku, simply wanted to know why he brought them back and turned them into cursed objects if he only intended to use them as pawns in his game. Kenjaku made it clear to her that they meant absolutely nothing to him. He does not value them in any way other than just a tool to further his own goals. It didn’t take this woman long to die and it seems that she was just a plot device to progress the story of Kendrick forward. Not long after that, Hazenoki finally returned to the scene after quite a while.
Gojo’s Death Streamed
Immediately after Kenjaku killed the woman, he started a conversation with Hazenoki. It was made clear that Kenjakufinally found out about the death of Gojo.Fans know that Gojo was cruelly killed by Sukuna, who had to level up his technique to finish off the strongest modern sorcerer. Kenjaku was seen enjoying this site on his device, and he clearly saw the live stream where Gojo had his body split in half. Kenjaku went on to say that Gojo had a very nice look on his face before he died. This likely means that he has something special planned for Gojo as well and, as fans know, there are ideas floating around that he is going to take over the body of Gojo.
This could very well be set up for something huge coming in the future ofJujutsu Kaisen. Fans know that Gojo was quite easily the most popular character in the entire series and his death will have profound meaning. Whether it will be used against the sorcerers now via Kenjaku or whether the author just ends Gojo’s story remains to be seen. As far as Kenjaku goes, he isn’t all that much concerned about Gojo and his death. It is clear that he was somewhat expecting this to happen, meaning that he knows the true terror that someone like Sukuna can cause.
Kenjaku Vs Hazenoki
Nonetheless, Hazenoki also ended up playing an extremely important role inJujutsu Kaisenchapter 239. Hazenoki made it quite clear that he was there to confront Kenjaku. The mastermind villain initially attempted to solidify a friendship with him, however, he absolutely rejected that, and, soon after, a fight broke out between these two characters. Kenjaku immediately took the offensive and decided to attack Hazenoki with his cursed spirits. Cursed Spirit Manipulation is one of the most amazing powers that Kenjaku currently has and it is certainly one with which he can overwhelm his enemies, as seen inJJKchapter 239.
Hazenoki was easily able to avoid the initial attack that was launched by Kenjaku towards him. He then proceeded to attack with his teeth and even though he was impressive for a while, it was made quite clear that Hazenoki was absolutely no match for Kenjaku. Hazenoki also attempted to run away from Kenjaku, however, this ended in failure given the overwhelming superiority of the latter when it comes to combat.
Fans also get to see the true goal that Kenjaku hashere in the Culling Game arc.He revealed that he’s going to kill every single participant in the game and that will complete his Binding Vow, and it would later allow Tengen to fuse with the entirety of Japan. Fans get to see a final conversation between these two characters and, at the end of it all, Hazenoki finally dies. Yet again, another character introduced by Gege was killed off in this chapter and fans certainly aren’t too thrilled to hear that.
Kenjaku Vs Takaba
The final segment ofJujutsu Kaisenchapter 239 saw a surprising fighter step forward and this was none other than Takaba. Fans know that Takaba has tremendous potential, however, he’s unaware of his powers. Even Kenjaku, in this chapter, underestimated him severely. He made it quite clear that he was not interested in any of the awakened players other than Higuruma. Kenjaku attacked Takaba with his powers and believed that to be enough to defeat him in combat, however, much to his surprise, Takaba was okay.
This clearly shocked Kenjaku, given that he did not expect him to survive this attack. At the end ofJJK239, Takaba is seen largely unaffected by the attack that Kendrick launched at him. Even Kenjaku himself is confused as to what is happening. He cannot grasp the source of strength that Takaba currently has and is now wary of him.
From here onwards, the story will likely focus on a fight between Kenjaku and Takaba and these two characters are going to give fans an incredible fight, at the end of which, most likely, Kenjaku will emerge victorious. Nonetheless, it is going to be a fight to remember and, given that Takaba is a performer, he certainly is going to give the fans a show.
Well not in the chapter that fans expected,JJKchapter 239 remains to be very interesting. Thanks cannot wait to see how this might progress and, perhaps, if other events that are currently happening in the calling game arc are touched upon as well.
