A new video game is on its way for DC fans asJustice League: Cosmic Chaos, an open-world game with co-op play, was recently announced. Outright Games, a family video game publisher, just announced the title and revealed co-op capability in the announcement.The publisher is not unfamiliar with creating children’s games based on superheroes such asPJ Masks: Heroes of the Night.In addition,The League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Acedisplays the publisher’s experience withDCcontent.Justice League: Cosmic Chaoswas first teased by Outright Games at the end of its OG Unwrapped 2022 video on May 19.RELATED:James Gunn Says DCU Video Games PlannedOn December 12, Outright games released a trailer showcasing Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman as playable characters taking out baddies as they work together to take down Mxy. The video also announced that fans will be able to play the game on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Steam on March 10. The publisher simultaneously released a tweet calling the game an “all-new open-world adventure.” On the official game page forJustice League: Cosmic Chaos,Outright Games confirms it is a “2-player couch co-op to engage with exciting and hilarious gameplay.” The game is otherwise listed as single-player and will not be available to play as anonline multiplayer game.

Throughout the trailer, the heroes walk and fly around Happy Harbor, fighting enemies using their unique abilities. Mxy was chosen as the main villain because of his love for pranks and chaotic nature. The heroes will also encounter Starro the Conqueror, who was one of the first villains the team faces inThe Brave and the Bold#28, one of thekey moments in The Justice League’s historyas this is where the group was formed. Players will see other Justice League members Green Lantern, The Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman.

In addition to battling the minions of Starro and thenever been shown in films villain Mxy, players will have puzzles to solve and missions to complete to guide them where they can go to complete the story. These challenges will allow players to access new outfits and upgrades for the Justice League team.

Although DC is known for darker storylines, Outright Games is known for publishinggames kids and parents can play together. Fans will notice a bubbly design style to the characters and Happy Harbor that lends more toward a children’s cartoon look due to the team’s mission to make it “a fun experience for younger audiences to be introduced to the Justice League universe,” as Goss explains. In addition to the look of the characters and Happy Harbor inJustice League: Cosmic Chaos, there is also a glimpse at the humor to be expected in the dialogue and cut scenes.

Justice League: Cosmic Chaosis out on March 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
