Developments since then have pushed back against that claim, with the latest news being thatHogwarts Legacydevelopment may actually be going well with the game on track to launch at some point in Q3 of this year.
This information comes from Twitter user AccountNGT, known for leaking information about the gaming industry. AccountNGT reiterated a previous claim they made thatHogwarts Legacywill release in Q3. “The development is going well,” they added, which is in stark contrast to the claims that the game is in trouble and may not meet its expected release date.

AccountNGT isn’t the first one to seemingly push back against the rumors thatHogwarts Legacy’s release date could get delayed to 2023. The official Warner Bros. Interactive Brazil account, while not addressing the rumors specifically,listedHogwarts Legacywhile naming off the company’s lineup of games for 2022. This came shortly after the rumors started spreading about its potential release date delay, so some took it as a response, even if it was an indirect one.
FreshHogwarts Legacynewsis expected to drop at some point soon, as it was previously promised that more information would come in early 2022. While nothing official has been announced, rumor has it that fans may get aHogwarts Legacynews update of some kind at a PlayStation State of Play event, though Sony has yet to announce any such event.
Industry insiders previously believed that anewHogwarts Legacytrailer was going to drop at The Game Awards 2021, only for the event to come and go with no mention of the game.
