To face its daunting trials,Lies of Pplayers must take advantage of the title’s upgrade system, through which they can invest Ergo to level up six specific combat stats - Vitality,Vigor, Capacity, Motivity, Technique, and Advance. However, as players continue to level up their stats, they will begin to encounter diminished returns on investment, thanks toLies of P’s Soft Caps. However, there is much more happening in Krat than first appears, and it is up to P to use his unique ability to lie to discover the sinister truths behind the city’s downfall. As P progresses beyond the limitations of his programming,Lies of Psees him transform into something altogether different. Whether the character lives happily ever after is up to fans to decide.

Lies of P’s Soft Caps Continue a Soulsborne Tradition
Lies of Pis heavily inspired by the Soulsborne titles that came before it. As such, the title adapts a myriad of features from those titles, in order to build a balanced, but challenging, combat system. Chief among these is the ability to invest Ergo,Lies of P’s main consumable and currency, to level up one of six character statistics. However, like those that came before it,Lies of Psees each subsequent level-up produce a less effective boost to that attribute. Eventually, players will reachLies ofP’s Soft Caps, the level at which investing in an attribute becomes inconsequential.
Lies of Pnever outright discourage players' investments, but players seem to agree that each attribute has a level at which they suffer an extreme decrease in returns. For this reason, players assert thatLies of P’s soft cap sits at level 60 for all attributes. Should players attempt to level beyond 60 in a certain area, the boost offered will be dim in comparison to that of another improvable attribute. For this reason,Lies of Pplayers are encouraged to take a different approach to leveling up their character.
