There is a brand-new cozy indie game for the Switch and PC calledLil Gator Game. This adorable title has players searching all over a big island park to make new friends, battle imaginary monsters, craft items, and climb to new heights. In order to do all of this, thenon-binary Lil Gator Herowill need weapons, climbing upgrades, and even some shields.
Shields are great for sliding, hopping over the water at great speeds, and are rewards for meeting and helping new friends. Players can collect 12 of these during the game, and they may want to know the locations of each one.
The Pot Lid
The first shield is found on the tutorial island. Head across the bridge right past where Big Sis is sitting, and look up and to the left. There is a deck overlooking the water where Martin the horse, one of themany unique NPC friends inLil Gator Game, is sitting. Players will need to chat with him to get the first shield quest. He will direct them to grab a nearby pot, then will give them the lid as a shield. This is the only shield available on the tutorial island.

Tower Shield
Once players are allowed onto the big island in thiskid-friendly RPG, they will need to cross the water. While standing at the edge of the tutorial island, players will be able to see a waterfall to the right. This is where they can get the Tower shield.
On top of the waterfall is Penelope; she will be wearing a helmet. She will yell for the gator to get rid of the slimes trying to take the waterfall. Destroy all the enemies in the area to complete this quest and get this shield.
Platter
After getting to the big island, players will meet up with Jill. Jill says that she has to study to keep up with her new friends, who are all very studious, and go to the prep school she wants to get into. But since Gator Hero wants her to play, they decide to make all her friends want to play too.
Gene, the chipmunk who sets up shop on the second floor of the tree fort, will ask Gator to grab a triangle. Players will have to crush all the Shape monsters to get it, but then they can trade it for the platter, one of the many shields in theindie gameLil Gator Game.
Chessboard
Near the playground, in thiscozy video gamewhere Big Sis and all the Gator’s friends will meet up, there will be a bird in a wheelchair. This bird is playing chess, and they insist that you cannot win against them. Smash the board with a weapon, and the bird will concede. Gator Hero will then gain the Chessboard shield and a new friend.
The Art Palette
One of the manyunique character NPCs inLil Gator Gameis an artist that is very close to where the playground is. Look for them in the center of some water. Kill all the monsters around them and earn their art palette.
Inner Tube
to get this one, players just need to head to the beach close to the mountainous part of the island. There will be a tiny island with a cuteLil Gator Gameopossum characternamed Ssumantha. She wants the Gator Hero to jump and bounce off of the water. In return, players will get an inner tube shield.
Big Leaf
In thewhimsical indie gameLil Gator Game, after interacting with Martin at the water park where he is hanging around with his friends and looking cool, players will need to find three water pumps. Each water pump is guarded by one of his three friends. One of these is being guarded by Jada, but she seems to have abandoned her post to help out a tree. She will ask players for several things to make sure the tree survives.
Skateboard
to get this shield, players will need to head to the small island off of the beach area; this will be home to Skater Pug. Complete their challenge and get this shield.
Martin
After chatting with Martin and his friends at the water play area, players will need to turn on three different water pumps around this area. One of these, located on an island connected to the mainland by some rope bridges near the old man’s house by the shore, is guarded by Lucas. Chat with Lucas and help him get over his fear of talking to Martin.
After completing talking to him, hit the Martin cutout with a weapon and collect this shield in thiswholesome indie game.
Trampoline
Players can purchase this shield from the Junk 4 Trash for 499 Craft Bits.
Trash Can Lid
Players can purchase this shield from the Junk 4 Trash for 299 Craft Bits.
Scooter Board
The Scooter Board is found in the northern part of the large island, in the mountainous region by northernmost edge of the island. There will be some natural rock bridges in this area; look for the largest of these. A bird friend will be wandering back and forth, looking for something.
Their scooter has fallen off of the bridge and will be all the way down on the ground near some tree stump enemies. Pick it up and return the scooter to them; they will give players a new scooter that is blue. This is the last shield for thiswholesome indie game, new in 2022.
