Some of these enhancements include small quality-of-life fixes, while others include significant improvements to the overall graphics.
With so many new features offered in the remake,Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, players will get to experience a brand-new version of the popular puzzle game that will reignite their love for the series. Of all the improvements found in the game, these are some of the best.

7ScareScraper’s Rush Mode
Extended Time Limit
InLuigi’s Mansion 2 HD, players can work together with their friendsin the multiplayerScareScraper, which takes everyone through a tall skyscraper with multiple floors and requires players to hunt down as many ghosts as they can together. There are multiple difficulty options, as well as a Rush Mode, which speeds up the process significantly from the other modes, which can take more than 10 minutes at a time.
In the original Rush Mode, players were only given 30 seconds at the very beginning to get started on the first floor. Now, the game has updated this to45 seconds, making it a bit easier to pick up as many ghosts as possible and get used to the game mode. This change makes Rush Mode much more approachable to all types of gamers, and still offers a challenge to those looking for one.

6Motion Controls & HD Rumble
Enhanced Realistic Effects
Since Motion Controls are a prominent feature on the Nintendo Switch, it only makes sense that this would be added to the enhanced version ofLuigi’s Mansion 2. This allows players to get a more realistic feeling when moving the camera around, as if they are right there with Luigi and controlling an actual camera to change its perspective. This feature really adds additionalimmersionto the game.
Players will also get to experience HD rumble in this game, giving an intense feeling when pulling in ghosts anddefeating bosses with the Poltergust. These two additions might not seem like much to the average player, but these can truly enhance the gameplay and immerse you into Luigi’s world of capturing ghosts and ridding them of the living world.

5Cracks Reveal More Hints
Improved Visibility for Extra Coins
Coins are a very important currency inLuigi’s Mansion 2 HD, as these willallow players to upgrade their Poltergust 5000, with improvements to its Power Gauge levels and the Dark-Light Device levels, and will also give players the option to eventually unlock theSuper Poltergust, the most powerful version of Luigi’s weapon. To make things easier for players, cracks in the wall will give better hints on where coins are located in the walls, so players can easily pick up as many coins as possible in each level.
Not only do these cracks in the wall reveal what is going on behind closed doors, but players will be able to find hidden treasures and coins, and even keys, with better hints about their locations. Fans of the game won’t have to worry about searching for every coin in the level now, as it will be much easier to find them all.

4Dark-Light Device Meter
Allows For Better Utilization
In the originalLuigi’s Mansion 2, whenever playersused the Dark-Light Device, the meter would be displayed in theupper right cornerof the screen to tell players how much power they had left. This could be a bit difficult to use, as fans would have to constantly redirect their attention from Luigi to the top right of the screen, making it difficult to control the device.
Now, with the new version of the game, the meter is displayed directly above Luigi’s head so players can focus on completing the task in front of them. Instead of constantly needing to look up at the top of the screen, players can use the Dark-Light Device with ease and make sure they don’t run out of power. This small quality of life improvement can make a huge difference when playing the game, as it makes things much more comfortable and easy to utilize.

3Improved Character Models
New Character Outfits & Enhanced Models
As with most new Mario and Luigi titles, their outfits become more and more detailed with improved graphics and colors. In the game, Luigi and Mario’s overalls now have visibleyellow stitching, along with their hats, to give a more realistic feel to their clothing. Players will also notice more detail in Luigi’s mustache, his shoes, and hands, which have improved graphics and less of a blocky texture.
Though this might seem like a minimal improvement, each character, including a lot of the enemies, such as King Boo, and the usualghosts found in every mansion, all have improved visuals and colors to make the appearance of the game much more pleasing to look at. It is clear that a lot of care was put into each character’s design to give them their own unique style.

2Updated Maps
Added Graphics & Improved Aesthetics
As fans traverse through each map while playing throughLuigi’s Mansion 2 HD, many will notice added graphics here, such as more realistic water and fog, purple trees, added bricks to the Gloomy Manor, and much more. Players will enjoy this enhancement, as it makes the experience of visiting each new area much more enjoyable to look at.
Some fans will also notice improved lines on some of the bridges on some of the maps, enhanced trees and bushes, and different colors and tones foundin the Gloomy Manor. Many of these changes are a welcome addition to the already vastly-improved graphics in the HD version, and just add more to the beauty of the remake. As each player traverses through the spooky locations, such as the Treacherous Mansion, they will find a bunch of new details to add to the aesthetics.

1Improved 1080p Graphics
A Vast Difference From 240p
Although theoriginalLuigi’s Mansion 2came out in 2013, more than 10 years ago, it is surprising to know that this version clocked in at only240p. This seems incredibly low-quality by today’s standards, so the new version’s update to 1080p is a massive improvement. When you actually compare the two titles side by side, the difference is quite noticeable.
Many fans will immediately spot the change in graphics, especially those who have played the original title and know it well. Players will be able to more easily make out the details in front of them, whether on the objects in each mansion or the details on Luigi and the surrounding ghosts. This enhancement to the game will keep many coming back for more, givingLuigi’s Mansion 2 HDthe chance to stand the test of time.
