The Plot
There are manyBlumhouse horror/science-fiction moviesandM3GANis in that category, too. The movie is about Gemma (Allison Williams) who works for a company that makes toys. When she comes up with a robotic doll named M3GAN, she also becomes the guardian for her niece who has lost her parents. Gemma decides that her prototype for M3GAN can assist her with this situation and, of course, this being a horror movie, all hell breaks loose.
The movie’s premise will remind horror fans of theChild’s Playfranchise asChucky the evil doll is timeless. M3GAN, like Chucky, is meant to be a friendly, comforting toy for children but they are also supposed to be there for parents, which is a new, unique take.

The tagline on the poster says “Friendship has evolved.” It will be fascinating to see how this toy ruins Gemma’s and her niece’s life and how they are able to win against it (and if they even can).M3GANis definitely ahorror movie with a great titleas it gets to the point of the horrors of this doll.
